BMW G30 vs Benz W213
Hey what do you guys think ? if you had a chance what would you go with?
always liked bimmers , but after owning my first benz e550 fell in love with Mercedes too , tough decision since they both are top notch cars.

I like the way the w213 looks inside and outside, but I bet the BMW has a much more powerful drivetrain without going into M or AMG. Weak engines are a deal breaker for me. If we do include M and AMG, I would choose the E63 over the M5.

BMW but only because it has the better choices of engines. At least you can get a V8 and a 6 cylinder.

Hmm... WAIT until the E400 comes out. The E class interior is light years ahead of the BMW.
But if you had to pull the plug now, go with the BMW for an engine other than a 4 cylinder turbo.

At least for me....my wife has a 2008 E350 and I don't think we would replace it with an E300. For my taste, the E class needs a 6 cylinder.

2008 E350 4Matic, 2011 E350 4matic
After all this time it still seems to be true, never buy a first year model. The 2003 was pretty bad, by 2009, most things were fixed. The 2010 had a few minor problems that were somewhat fixed by 2011 although faded wood continued for a while. There are some complaining about the 2017. So I guess they'll get the bugs worked out of the 2017 and come out with some new engines later.

The BMW looks better on the outside, IMO... but I'm not a fan of the ***** shifter lol... I'm also biased towards the black on black interior, so neither of those in the pics would be my first choice, but I would have to vote Benz on the interior.

The New 5 series basically took the old design and added the hockey stick on the side and the uni-brow headlight and grille design, both are downgrades in my option. The new E class is a much more drastic re-design, the new E class interior is fantastic while the new 5 series' interior almost looks the same as the old interior except for the ugly looking ipad screen stick out. Beside the typical BMW fanboys over at the forums, most poster greet the new 5 series with lukewarm enthusiasm. It is definitely a let down after the last successful redesign. I for one am glad that I did not wait around for the new G30 before jumping off the BMW bandwagon.

Both are great. I now own an E class, had a 5 in the past. It's like saying which great 18 year old scotch do you want. I went with the E this time - part of it was a "been there done that" perspective. Had a 5 (great) had an A6 (great) and now a W212 (great)

BMW designs are "hit and miss" imo. sometimes i see a hyundai better looking than a late model bimmer. and the interior, i feel like its a japanese car trying so hard too be a euro car. oh and not to mention the reputation bimmer drivers have down here, next to appalling.

Mercedes design are miss or miss as well, some of the older E class like the W211 looks very Japanese. Interior wise, BMW's interior is very boring but consistently average but that's not always a bad thing.
You know what the difference is between a BMW and a dog? The dog's dick is on the outside.

agree smth in between 6 series and 3 series , maybe they will look better in person and will eventually grow on me like w212s tail lights (at first they always reminded me of this one LIncoln for some reason) but right now i think they go pretty good with the cars shape
