Have you been to this location and physically looked at the car?
Phone numbers don't match up with CL listing and the store.
Please don't wire a deposit and get scammed. Make sure the car is there, the dealership is legit, and everything is on the up and up. This smells very fishy to me, not to mention the Carfax shows the car as sold on November 9th. Good Luck.

Pretty nicely loaded. Just make sure you get the keyless go button.
The sale was from an MB dealer. Could have been private party or they just sold it at auction and a 3rd party dealer bought it. Maybe there's nothing wrong with it or it didn't meet their CPO guidelines of which part of it says no accidents. Carfax doesn't report any, but autocheck will sometimes list accidents that carfax misses. It's got less than 50k so it might qualify for an extended warranty. You should run the vin by the people in the extended warranty forum. If it was a CPO (check for CPO sticker on the car) and then the MB dealer sold it, it will no longer qualify for the extended or CPO warranty. If they just sold it without putting it through the CPO process, then you can buy an extended warranty for up to 7 years, 100k.

That's probably why it went off to auction instead of being sold at the dealer. The dealer usually keeps the nicest cars and then auctions off the rest. Of course you can get lucky and maybe they have too many lease returns or maybe too much inventory so they auction them off.

All I can say is in terms of finding a 2014 is there are a LOT out there just coming off lease. theres 3 MB dealers within 20 minutes of my house, so its not hard to find a car that has what you want, and if they don't have it, they probably will in the next week or two. Not sure how many are near you but its a real popular car, and with leases ending and the new C300 out, it shouldn't be hard to find what you want.
That said price wise a CPO car is gonna cost you about $5k+ more than the one you found in my experience, but of course as you have learned you see what you are getting. In my case my car even with 14k miles on it is literally new. I don't know how but the paint is perfect, not a blemish, interior is as well. On the plus side it was sold Nov 2014 which means between the remainder of the factory warranty and the CPO warranty I'm covered for unlimited miles till 2019, and to 2021 if I buy the 2 year extension (I will). Base don my question here its a good idea. My friend is also a MB master tech and told me I should definitely do it.

I bought a wagon, which is a different market, altogether. They are pretty rare, whereas the sedan is pretty prevalent in the SF Bay market.
I found a great search tool on the MB CPO site:
https://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/cpo/i...ice-3000,30000
These are all 2014-2017 CPO E Class sedans under $30k within 100 miles of San Jose

i dont think it really dont matter where you buy the car private or mercedes dealership depdent on your luck and check the history of the car carefully... Because 7 years ago i bought 2 years old ML350 after 1 and half check engine light on cost 7k for the repaired..The only good cat still under warranty
hope i will have better luck with e350 for this time purchase
