Stop/Start not working
Stop/Start not working
The stop/start function on my 14 e350 has become less and less engaged since I got the car. Today, the eco button was completely dead. It's off to the dealer on Monday for a fix. Anyone else had similar issues? It generally shows the yellow eco on the dash, but very rarely goes to green. The dead eco button today was a first. I'll let you know what the dealer says, but interested to see if anyone else has had similar problem.

was an error code from the crank position sensor... they deleted the code and eco worked but they all replaced the CPS just in case and it's been fine
Something similar to this happened with the wife's E250. The Eco button light would flash green for a moment when the car first started, but would turn off and couldn't be reengaged
It turned out to be a loose "Eco pump" if I remember correctly.

2nd visit to the dealer. Stop Start still no worky. Replaced the Aux battery this time. Drove home, still no green light, so looks like another visit is needed. Drove it around today, still no green light. I guess they are cycling through the possible fixes one at a time, starting with the cheapest (software flash). Over and under on getting this one fixed anyone?

Happened to me on my 14 C350 this morning. At a light, the engine shut down and I had brake hold engaged. About 45 seconds after shut down, the car restarted and it began beeping with the display showing "Brake Immediately". After that, no Eco icon in the cluster and the green light was out.
I've read many times that Brake Hold is dependent on the AUX battery, but it worked for me even with the start/stop system out of commission. After a restart, everything is back to normal. Is the Aux battery covered under the 4/48 warranty?
