New S212 owner checking in
Hi all,
As alluded to in this thread https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...12-wagons.html
and confirmed in this thread https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...roduction.html
I traded in my 2014 C250 Sport last weekend for a leftover 2016 C350 4M wagon. Also in Sport trim, it's Steel Grey over Crystal Grey/Black/Burl Walnut. Moderately optioned, with Premium 1, Lighting, KEYLESS-GO and Lane Tracking packages and the active multicontour driver's seat.
We had a nasty wintry mix on the day I picked it up, so I only have one quick snap of it after rolling out of dealer prep and into the salty slushy spray.
I'll make sure to search thoroughly before asking any questions, but am open to suggestions about cargo bay management options. In my last two wagons (both Subarus) and my C250 I used a hard liner with a raised lip to catch spills, but for this one I think I'd like the reversible nonskid mat that can be easily rolled up and set to the side when folding the second-row seats for additional storage space.
Thanks!

So Crater64; I'm looking at a similar 16 S212 at 72K . They will do 8K off but you got 10K off, good job. I will have to push more as its still in the dealer lot, costing them $$$. bob

Be sure to remind them that it's not only nearing the end of the month, but also the end of the year... and that you can wait until Jan 1 (when they have to pay Jan taxes on it) to buy it if you can't get the deal you're comfortable with.

First report: promising fuel economy
Slightly over two months in and not quite 2000 miles on the car yet. First road trip of any length this past Saturday, round trip from my suburb about 45 minutes NNE of Philadelphia to DC and back. Averaged 28.5 mpg (not via car's brain but miles driven/gallons of fuel used). Two passengers and a light load of cargo in both directions. A pleasant surprise and hopefully one that will improve with time and mileage.

Sorry about that. I did go with the cargo area liner with the raised edge. I also bought two cargo nets: one with six attachment points that covers the floor and the other with two attachment points but with two more that must be mounted by drilling into the sides of the cargo area. I think I may put the latter up for sale as I don't trust my ability to locate them precisely.
I've also run into an issue with the CD player, for which I'll start a separate thread as that may impact sedan owners as well.
