Service coupons at the beginning of year.
My car is due for an a service or b service always in January. Each year there are plenty of coupons all year long except in January. Guess dealers are to busy to post coupons for service. I decided to wait until February or March to do the services. By then they start to post coupons. Cannot believe that the dealers are so stupid as not to post service specials in January. Oh well.

My area will only accept local dealer coupons. They will match if the the dealer offering coupon is in your living area. It is only a matter of time and they will start popping up. It is just a shame the dealers here are so slow getting specials out at the beginning of the year. It is the only time they are not available. That is why I will wait to have the service done.

Ironically, my SA will apply "coupons" to my services even when I don't actually have one. I think all dealers have discounts all year if you ask for them.
As for email or mailed coupons, what are the expiration dates? Some may be good for months, so a Nov or Dec one may still be good in Jan.

There was a registration for a $130 discount coupon on MB's site, but no one has gotten it yet so some think it might be a fake. Someone did call them and they said they're having vendor problems so maybe people will actually get it at some point.

If you read the thread at slickdeals which I posted earlier, it seems that if you call, you'll get the $130 discount on a $250 service but it's only good til January 31st.

Others got similar result with that number.
So, I needed to take my car in for service today and didn't want to miss out on the $130 discount. After dropping it off, I called into customer service where they stated that they were aware of the promotion and that there's an issue with the emails being sent out to users after registration.
Since my car was already at the dealer, customer service asked for the name of my service advisor. They then emailed the promotion instructions to the advisor and phoned over to make sure they were received. My advisor was able to follow those instructions and took the $130 off the invoice.
Try calling 800-367-6372; option 6, then option 5.

January promotion here in MA at MBOB was 15% off. I got them to knock off $20 for booking online because that's what a competitor does + the discount. It was like a $70-80 savings on an A service for my wife's GLK.

The coupon does expire on January 31 2016. Do what thefish says and you will get the $130 off an expense of $250 or more. Good to have fellow members that know what they are doing.
