Transmission service 40k
Bought the car with 78k and now have 88k on the car. I have not done the transmission service yet.
I confirmed with dealership that the car did indeed have the service done at 40k
Just today I'm noticing something strange when on the highway. When Accelerate and the car downshifts it feels like the trans isn't rev matching correctly. It's happening only when dropping down to 4th gear under medium to heavy throttle.
2 questions
1. What's the harm in not getting it done on time?
2. Could the lack of Trans service be attributed to the issue I'm having?

Needed to do the brake fluid change (never did it at 80k, but did everything else myself)
Dealer said car had trans fluid changed at 38k and recommended not doing it till about 110k
Dealer was aware of the hard shift issue and is looking into it.
BTW new E-class BOOO! E300 4matic needs a 6 not a 4turbo
you speak like youve got a V12 or something.

EDIT: just to add...youve got an entry level E from your neck of the woods (not trying to undermine other 350 owners here). get off your high horse and stick to your own topic next time.

But that 4cyl runs out of steam on the Highway
Back on topic the dealer did a software update and reset and it's back to shifting perfectly again.
Back off Topic beejAMG have a Foster's and relax buddy I'm not on a "high horse" I don't like the 4cyl turbo in a large expensive Luxury sedan
unless youre very concenred with engine sound, the v6 e350 is less powerful than the new i4. However it may 'feel' to you. (Contrast, the v6 is smoother for me at low throttle applications than the new i4; not a good trade off for .5 secs quicker to 60.....imo of course...)
So unless the sound is what you miss, in my case it IS, then youre not getting any "better" engine. That engine has plenty of flaws too.
I do find it odd they didnt beef up the engine a little more, just like from cla to c, then c to e; wouldve been cool to see them change the engine a tiny bit... but im not complaining. AT least the exhaust makes up for some loss of the sound by the i4.
I have not experienced the 2.0L in the W213, but I have in the W205 and I do not care for it whatsoever. I realize it is personal preference, and I'm not on a high horse.. but it does not behave in a way that I personally feel is suited to a Benz.
