Jerky transmission solution needed
Since I have owned my ride I have always had a jerky transmission. Usually after car is warmed up when you first start out it is jerky then sometimes it is jerky between 2nd and 3rd gear and 5th and 6th gear. I have brought in several times and there solution is to reprogram the car transmission and it solves the problem for a month or so then it goes back to what it has always done. Over the 3 years I have tried to solve the problem by limiting the amount of pressure on gas pedal. The wife hates the jerky part especially on take off. My question is has anyone else had this problem and if so did you solve the problem and how? I have called MBUSA and they stated they are aware of the problem but have not come up with a solution in 3 years. Should I just bring car in and tell then to solve the problem and have them call me when it is solved? Only about 11,000 miles on car in over 3 years.

Op - you and I got our cars around the same time ... you know my position on this
THAT being said have the tech consider a custom adaptation in cold and then one in warmed up conditions and this may make the drive much more pleasant. This is an extensive procedure and requires lots of driving of the vehicle by the tech.
Asides from this you'll need clutchpacks and valve body at minimum if not a whole new trans

okay so lets start with this. does Anyone else drive your car? how much do you drive a day and what combination of street, highway and urban roads do you drive? which mode do you use the most and how often do you use the paddle shifters?

The wife drives the car but not very often. She says it jerks when she drives it also, Car is driven about 15 miles a week or less. most of the time it sets in a heated garage. Usually urban roads and no rush hour traffic. Drive in E mode never use paddles ( do not know what they are for or how to use them.)

i have had problems for awhile with my transmission jerky from 6->7 and 7->6 but only occurs in sport mode and only these 2 shifts. i have asked the dealer and they offered me nothing except recommended i have my transmission fluid changed (didn't think this would do anything but i did it anyways at 39k). still happens and i've given up on it.
