I was just wondering what the earliest build date would be for a 2014 E350? I just acquired a 2014 E350 with a build date of 9/2013. I thought that was pretty early and was wondering if anyone knew of a build date earlier than that for a 2014.

The photo's of the other amps look differant, ware could it be located if not drivers side trunk ? power cable and Fiber connect, Could this be the Amp ?
Yes Sir, Sorry, i just located the Amp buried deeper in, have to remove the cover to get to it. I believe its the speakers that fry when the amp fails.

if the dual front speaker is cracking, it may be a bad SPEAKER dome and Amp still ok until 16V caps start leaking. Dome can be glued back in 5mn under 2¢
Have a look at the speaker tranducer to see if membrane is falling apart.
It's a dual speaker as originally noted by @Left Coast Geek The second coil is driven by voice from the mBrace module located in the trunk forward floor section. It will log a fault during replacement.

I have not fried mine... because I've reworked it ahead of getting the killer pop-pop-pops 😆
If your issue is limited to center front spk, have a look at it's diaphragm dome for it being loose.
Try to remove only one piece at the time to prevent confusion.

Have a look in the trunk area behind the left-side carpet or scan DLC port
