W212 exhaust swap?

Hey I was wondering if the exhuast system on a 2011 E350 is the same as a 2012 E550 biturbo. I recently had exhuast work done to my E350 but I'm picking up a E550 biturbo tonight. Can I just swap the exhuast systems around or are the catalytic converters in different locations?

I'm hoping I can drop it from cat back and switch them around and switch my rear valance so it clears the bumpers.

Thanks,

If you PM me your email address I can send some pics of the stock E550 sedan exhaust. If you have the pictures of your factory E350 exhaust you should at least be able to gauge how close they are (or even if they are close).

What size are those tips that you have (brand/part number even better)? And did you have to modify the valance in order for them to fit? That's the look I was going for with mine, but the shop I took it took couldn't find tips that cleared the valance without cutting into it/shaving it down.

I took my car to Eurowise here in charlotte. They keep this tip style in Stock so I would have to call them to see if they are house made or if they order them through a vendor. The size is 3.5" each tip. They also had to cut very little of the inside of the valance to make them fit. The cut was smoothed out to make it look as if it was never cut and came from factory.

That is a 2010 550i M package. Very problematic. Oil leaks, bubble in tire, leaking coolant, it's fun when no warning lights are on. Which is why I'm picking up the E550 tonight. I'll post a photo with all three in the driveway

I just sent you the pics to your email. I'm trying to reserve judgment as to whether or not there's a shot it will fit. My guess is it won't, BUT, with some small fabrication and adding in the required hangars and what not it could work.

The E550 to E63 setup looks almost identical sans the hangar locations. For you, I am hopeful the same applies to the E350 and E550 (but not counting on it )
