As I said in a previous post. What you do to your car is your business. I am a purist. Your car in my mind looks like it came out of the hood.when you go to sell it, nobody will want it.

Right, we're probably not going as crazy as you think because we're mostly adults on here. Once you get a little older, you might realize that it doesn't matter and we don't really care what you do. You just asked for opinions and you go them along with your jollies.

And even if someone buys it, they likely won't be paying top-dollar.
All of that is whatever to me, including the "up-badging". People can lie to themselves about why they put the badge on a vehicle, but at the end of the day, those who know the difference will see right through the excuse.
The moment a genuine AMG rolls up, you can and will cower in your seat. Because even though you have an MB, it ain't no AMG son.

So far you've dodged some of the really over the top purist. I'm sure word will get around and they will show up eventually.

Isn't there some old saying of you can take the person out of the hood but you can't take the hood out of a person. And yes, no one wants to buy a car from the hood, but it doesn't matter if you drive the car into the ground or smash it up.

Why not just pick up a real twin turbo V12? Under 20k and also in Florida. You may not be in the hood, but you may still have the hood in you.

It's not for everyone..and you are entitled to your opinion .. When I bought the car it was factory optioned with AMG wheels, triptronic and the larger brake package from the factory.
And it's a 550 4 Matic twin turbo, I've owned the e500 and e55 previously. They are no comparison! This car is currently making 500+hp daily driver but your e350 wouldn't know anything about that so I don't expect you to understand.

Comparing the power from your tuned E350 against a stock E55 AMG that is many years older is hardly a fair comparison.
It's clear you're feeling a little AMG envy - or you wouldn't have bothered trying to fake it. Just be happy with what you've got. It doesn't matter what kind of car you have, there will always be someone faster.

yeah dude I heard what you said and maybe just maybe you're a dying breed with little to no vision on what is really going on in the world today. Anyone, ANYONE can go buy a stock e6.3, Porsche, Ferrari or Maybach but last time I checked you can't buy cool.

never said it was an AMG nore do I care! I slapped 1 $19.95 logo on the back to **** jackasses like you off while waiting on another emblem to arrive. If you take a minute and pay attention to details (maybe even read a little bit) or pay attention to my user name that clearly states "2012 E550" before commenting you would see that it's a twin turbo 4.6 e550 making around 550+ hp. Vivid doesn't have an all wheel dyno so that's a very conservative guestament. Oh yeah and that comment about "it doesn't matter how much horsepower it's making" is like the gayest s#it I've ever heard. Please burn your transgender man card.

Oh wow are we best friends now lol. Thanks for asking! It's good, I did a little snapper fishing and cooked afterwards. Tomorrow I'm taking one of the boats and heading to treasure cay. Been her in the Abacos this trip for 3 weeks with 2 more weeks to go.

Not sure why one would only stop at AMG, why not make it an S65? Not sure why anyone would up badge, those that don't care don't care, those that do care know you are fake. But then not sure why people black everything out, ruins the styling of the car.
