I like a mixed blacked out look, but prefer the color contrast of the stock wheels against the black...like the car below. When I saw that car for sale, I had all of my trim wrapped in gloss black, and went with an all black grill with the black star. Really liking it. Not feeling the stripe or the AMG badge, but it's your car...

It's not for everyone..and you are entitled to your opinion .. When I bought the car it was factory optioned with AMG wheels, triptronic and the larger brake package from the factory.
And it's a 550 4 Matic twin turbo, I've owned the e500 and e55 previously. They are no comparison! This car is currently making 500+hp daily driver but your e350 wouldn't know anything about that so I don't expect you to understand.

I knew you would be butt hurt because I own e350. I bought the car for a reason and it was simply just taking on daily driving duty. I have an C7 Z06 that does what its supposed to ,but you wouldnt understand it. Im also more into bikes and s1000RR destroys most cars but you wouldnt understand it either. IMHO your car looks like a high school dude got hold of a plastidip can, but hey its your car.

I know what you mean. And i own a CBR1000rr and raced a s1000rr, super fast bike!!!
its like i would ride up to someone on a traffic light and see a cbr600rr with cbr1000rr badges on it, id be like wtf?!

It is your car. Do what ever you want with it. In my opinion, if I had a real AMG, I would debadge it. I am not a gawdy person would rather have things understated and not attract attention. In Germany, Many people debadge their cars.

having said that, i like what you did to your 212. if that was me but, I would lower the car a lil, take the racing stripe and the AMG badge off. but like i said, if that was me.
its your car. you can put whatever you want in and on it. some are ok with it and some dont like it. but when you post pics in an internet forum, you open your car to compliments and criticisms. just be sure youre ready to take both.

It's not that I don't get it, I just don't care. I especially don't care what people think I should or shouldn't do to something I own. I have an original 1993 Mustang Cobra #4140 and allllll the purists told me I couldn't do anything to it other than make it more stock. 1000hp later I'm still laughing at them. Oh and nice chevette.

Nobody really cares, but to me I always prefer the stock look. You asked for opinions and you got them. To me it just screams Hey I'm a doofus and please pull me over. I just shake my head and think, there's a guy with too much time and too much money on his hands. But it's your car, as everyone else says, do whatever you want.
Why didn't you put the E63 badge on? The E550 never had an AMG badge which is why you're getting a bad reaction in addition to the other things you've done to it.
Anyway looks horrible, I wonder what will happen if you get into an accident and the guy says that the car was all blacked out and he couldn't see you.

There's a lot of difference between having AMG wheels, which many Mercedes do, and having an AMG....
