2006 ML 350
The Seat Adjust switch on the door has 3 switches (put together to look like a seat). The headrest switch is the top one.

Maybe if you put it down, then reset the memory on the seat adjustment buttons?

And if resetting the memory doesn't fix it try giving the top switch button a quick shot electrical contact cleaner.
