Akebano Euro Ultra Premium Ceramic
Can anyone provide the exact part number for my application? Apparently, it is an extremely rare pad set (or nonexistent?).
I'm looking for Front Brake pads, Akebano Euro Ultra Premium Ceramic for a 2012 E350 4matic with Sport Package (front rotors are the cross-drilled ones). Thanks in advance. Much obliged.

2010 e550 p2
1342 Akebono are for coupes only , i have those laying in my garage for at least half a year already , cuz i thought they would fit my 2010 e550 but they didnt , its a different looking kinda pad.
on the other hand , rear ones might fit (i have doubts though) , all depends on rotor size.

Exactly my point. I do not think that Akebano Euro ceramics FRONT PADS actually exist for W212 E350 sedan 4matic with sport option. Simply cannot find them anywhere.

Okay, never mind. As I suspected, Akebano does NOT make a front Euro Ceramic pad for 2012 W212 E350 4matic sedan w/sport option. Just spoke to Akebano directly and they confirmed this. Oh well.
So ... next question is .... any body have a suggestion on a similar product? Brake dust from my MB dealer pads is driving me crazy.
thanks in advance ... sorry to lead ya'll on this wild goose chase.

I cannot answer that. I spoke directly with Akebano and asked for:
2012 E350 4matic sedan with sports package (front cross drilled rotors) FRONT PAD set.
Akebano's response was that they did not make a pad for that application.
Which ... again ... is what I suspected having done a week's worth of exhaustive interweb searching and googling.

Are you sure EUR1342 is coupe only? They don't really say if they're sport or not, their web catalog just says all and they're listed for the front. For the rears, coupe only is EUR1341.

I think Advance Auto has it for $111 and coupon code TRT41 takes $40 off $100 so $71. Or Amazon at $73.28.
They say EUR986 for the rears which is what I put on. I did get the fronts, but I didn't put them on yet. Guess I'll find out when the fronts wear out.

BTW, to close this out, the Akebano EUR1342 front ceramic brake pads do in fact fit on my W212 2012 E350 4matic with sport package. I actually bought a couple of different brands, and can vouche that the Autozone Duralast Gold Ceramics 1342 (oddly enough, same part number as Akebano ... coincidence?) also fit my 2012 W212 E350 4matic with sport package. So I reckon ... all the front brake pads out there ... that have the 1342 part number ... probably are okay for this application. Lastly, what a wonderful upgrade to go ceramic .. especially on the front. ZERO brake dust now instead of car wash and 3 days later totally black front wheels from MB pads.

How is is the pedal feel and stopping power? Brake fade? My commute ("technically highway") is full of people that seem to think it's okay to slow from 70 to 30 (or less) to read letter signs or to cross a bridge a few times on the way, combined with folks so busy trying to cut each other off that the the merge to merge to merge for off ramps takes three of the four travel lanes too.

Check http://showmetheparts.com/akebono/
The site shows that for my 2014 E250 front is EUR1342 rear 986
Not only dust-free pads, but I run them in W210 for 80k miles and still had 75% + left.

Yeah, well I'd be lying if I told you that I love these ceramics. Don't get me wrong, the total lack of brake dust is worth it. Unfortunately, they feel hard and don't grab that well. The longer you apply the brake pedal ... the better they'll get. But let's face it, the reason the stock MB pads feel so good and work so well, is because of how dang soft (and therefor dusty) they are. Can't have it all, right? A small price to pay for clean wheels. My driving doesn't warrant auto-cross braking, so I'm quite content with the ceramics. And oh, did I mention my clean wheels?

Frankly I install Akebonos on 6-7 cars and can't tell braking difference. Still could activate ABS on dry asphalt.
Few years ago a member posted his braking test.
When those tests done one at the time are always questionable, the differences he posted were within 5%.
Less than human perception IMHO
