Blind spot assitance (one back sensors corroded) repaired cost $1900

I owned a Mercedes Benz E350 2010 which have a transmission replaced last month. Last Monday, On the way to work the car suddenly shift back to low gear and stuck there. I stop the car and put it back to park position and try to drive and again. This time it gave me an Blind Spot assistant inoperative. I press Ok then another message came up, states that the Pres-safer function is limited. I press Ok again. Then the Check-Engine light went on. I have the car tow back to the dealer so they can tale a look at it. Today, They said something wrong with the transmission so they have to replaced it again. But I have to paid out of pocket about $2600 for a corroded sensor in the back which cost $1900, plus flushing the transmission for other mounting part I forget what it is. But the total cost for flushing transmission and that mounting parts are $700. I did have the transmission flushing done before I have the transmission replaced. My question is: Does the Transmission issue may caused the malfunction of the Blind Spot Assistant sensors system, does it really cost that much ($1900) for replaced just one sensor, and should I have to flushing my transmission again. Thank you for you help

thats pretty messed up for dealer to charge you for tranny flush again , especially if the problem has to do with the tranny again.

i doubt Blind spot and transmission are any how related. ( unless what u saying is that , that sensor inside the tranny , but then again dealer should of looked into it before too)

can you post a part number for that part they also trynna replace?
id say dealer should fix it without charging anything

So let me get this straight...You replaced the whole transmission before and they're saying you have to replace the whole transmission again?

Or is there a specific part of the transmission you replaced before? It's a little confusing what exactly your are asking for.

In general if the pricing doesn't seem right at the dealer you'll have to find a reputable Indy (Independent) shop near you. Often they can provide a similiar level of service for 30-40% less. Please explain a little more so that the next member can help you out as best as possible.

Yeah, if this was in the US, all work done at MB dealers have a 1 year/12k warranty. Shouldn't have to pay twice if it was within the last month.

Thanks again for your help. Last month, I paid a total of $4500 for transmission replacement I mean the entire transmission. I also told them that I have my transmission flushing before I have an issue with the transmission. They said I don't have to do it. It is my choice. This time they found one part of the transmission call clip on the valve of the body or something that caused the transmission malfunction and I have to paid for this part. I forget to get the part numbers. But it is seem like more stuff that involved, Because when I mention about the check engine light. They did not give me a straight answer. They just said don't worry about it. The dealer will take care of it, and did not tell me exactly what the caused of it. The Sensor parts cost $1900 for both front and back sensors plus the hardness. First they said is one in the back. Now it is sound like the entire sensors system things were corroded. I mean the sensors part I could understand but it is still costly. The Valve and flushing transmission. They both related to transmission. I just don't get it. So my question is; should I have the transmission flushing service again or just skip it. Thanks

Agree this dealer seems to be hiding something. You may want to call MBUSA and open a case so they can review.
