E220 CDI Engine Misfire on Cold Morning
Help! I am encountering engine misfires on my E220 CDI 2010 model. It only happens on cold mornings and usually goes away after 1.5 hours of driving. The misfiring is more frequent if I parked my car on the street overnight. Once the car has been driven for more than 1.5 hour in the morning, the engine does not misfire even after the car is parked at work for more than 8 hours. Took it to the Merc Dealer to diagnose and fix the problem and they changed the fuel filter and did some test but still could not fix the problem. Would appreciate if anyone encountering similar problem provide some insight into potential causes for the misfiring

Many thanks for the suggestions. I have the car booked in with a mercedes specialist in two weeks. Hope this guy is good and be able to find the cause and fix it. The mercedes dealer that I sent my car for investigation and fixing certainly has no idea. They changed the fuel filter and charged like a wounded bull but did not fix the problem.

Misfires can be injectors, spark plugs or ignition coils if I had to make a first guess. How many miles do you have an have you had a full tune up yet?

Idk to be honest. Maybe they don't.
Just took a look and it appears that they don't. So other then injectors, I'm not sure what would be an easy fix if any. Good Luck
