Front drive shaft failed

I have a 2010 E350 4matic regularly serviced and has 70,000 miles. The front drive shaft just failed. Anybody else had this experience. Is this a problem with this model?

Bearing failures happen in every application. It sucks on the front driveshafts on most cars they are not replaceable separately (not just MB, most manufacturers do this), but in the quest to make the 4wd systems smaller/lighter/more efficient, they make them less serviceable.

Put a new front shaft in it and carry on.

I thought i had the same issue so i researched some stuff.(it was vibrating at certain speeds etc. How do you know that thats it? What issues are you experiencing? ) , but it turned out to be something else.

If its the drive shaft bearing , there is a replacement bearing out there for sale.

What was nature of the failure and the symptoms leading up to it?

What was the cause and nature of your vibrations?
