Car door trouble & seat covers

cannot open my door from the outside, how hard is it to take the door apart and or what parts do I have to order?

Also, my seats are coming apart at the seams. Anyone else have this problem with their 2010 e350 4matic?

At 90k miles maybe I should turn it over for a newer less mileage Benz , suv, thoughts?

Door unsure of. The seats seem to be a common issue. Many owners have purchased part from Mercedes and took it in to upholster to save on labor cost.

If you’re feeling ambitious before attempting DIY handle repair one can argue for goodwill repair referencing attached bulletin and EPC capture. Normally bulletins apply only under warranty however, your VIN is within the affected range so MB may consider goodwill replacement. EPC shows bearing bracket installed @ production is replaced to updated part # listed in bulletin usually indicating modification. If dealer refuses contact MBUSA http://mercedes-benz.custhelp.com/ap...es-benz-usa%3F

MB also released a bulletin for seat seam however, additional tear on outer bladder would disqualify coverage. Shop either part # 21291003469D88 or current 21291073469D88. See attachments for replacement.

Part number for the drivers side cushion cover in beige? At 90K miles mine have split at the seams.

Konigstiger,

Are you suggesting that Mercedes may replace the seat cover on a out of warranty car? My side bolster is in good shape.

Thanks,

2014 Mercedes e350
My seats cracked at the same spot , cannot believe they are so poorly made. I went to Mercedes and they replaced it for me free of charge ( i was still under warranty though)
from what i see this is very common , which sucks.

Hi Konigstiger,

Thank you. I recently changed my ISP and failed to change my email address on MBWorld so I did not receive the email. It is updated now. Sorry for being a PIA.

Brought the service bulletin up with my service advisor and he basically said that all it is guidance to the technicians and didn't offer any out of warranty help. I did call the other dealership and they said basically you should have been bringing your car to us if you want any help.
