How Do I Fix This?
Some flying object (I am assuming a rock) flew and hit the black piece between my passenger's side front pillar and front windshield causing a decent nick earlier today. I am looking into having it replaced. Is this something I can do myself? If so, what tools will I need? If not, should I take it to Mercedes or a local shop?
Thanks.

Clips are holding it in place.. start at windshield and work your way down to the rear.
Slight pressure might be needed to unclip it though. But its definitely easy , and you should not have any issues if you have domr common sense.

A windshield replacement shop may have that piece in stock for your car. They replace a lot of those with severely damaged windshields that tend to bend those up as well.

This is where those inexpensive plastic trim removal kits come in handy to avoid scratching paint and trim.
I could drive my work truck anywhere and not a ding on it, but my car is like a weird magnet for all sorts of crazy divers and debris. Constantly dodging!

You can remove it without any tools. Generally speaking, if you pull straight up with some decent force, they should pop out. I do it all the time when wrapping cars.

Should cost between $120-160 all up.

Just replace that part. It looks like ~$108 part online. It should just pull off and you could get the part # off the back side It looks like part # 212-690-10-82-9040. A good part vendor can get your VIN and make sure you are getting the correct part. My dealer is pretty good about discounting parts so it's not much more than online and I can pick it up or return it at the dealership if there is a problem.

My car has many rock hits on these trim pieces on both sides and I really don't care that much as they are not that mad of an eyesore but I asked my dealer about them and the answer was $400 for the pair.
And to remove / install is super easy, like others already said, as they pull straight out without any tools.
