Need recommended NYC area MB tech

It is time for me to swap out the airmatic for coilovers for performance. Fully threaded coilovers like the KW V3.

I dont mind doing it half *** and removing only the struts/shocks/air springs and leaving the air compressor and such for later removal for now.

I just dont know if it takes a quick software change from air to steel spring setting on car (2014) or removing an fuse to avoid the error?

I am serious on this approach would really like any help on finding a good tech to swap out the suspension or just a good MB tech not from a stealership to go to NYC area.

Thank you in advance.

So far it seems only KW V3 are available for 4matic w212 cars and everything else is rwd models only.

Does it really mount differently in the front or anyone knows other makes for performance coilovers?

Might make another thread for this not sure yet.

Found out Scale suspension makes fully threaded monotube coilovers with custom swift springs for 4matic cars too might go with them.

Ordered Scale coilover suspension with swift springs 10/16kg spring rates. Should be here in a week.

NO answer on a good tech to swap out airmatic to steel spring suspension in NYC?

Hope it does not breaks the rules will forward this to the amg side to see if anyone knows.

Have Ultra Racing chassis stiffening parts sitting in my house will hopefully install those too and see what fits on a 4matic model.

Thanks in advance whoever responds with an answer.

Sent you a reply mertd93...

@cocobeex will definitely do...

I was hoping to wait a bit longer on the swap but the Airmatic started to give me the malfunction error screen now consistently.

I am swapping it out for performance and now I guess for the piece of mind of steel spring suspension reliability.

Here is the scale suspension with swift springs. Need to figure out when I have time to work out a date with the tech to install these and hopefully run into no problems with the software side of airmatic/adjustable shock cable running to each shock/strut.

No update yet sadly. Was about to schedule a date/time with mertd93 then my wife went into labor and my daughter arrived. Trying to see when I am free to take it to him to do it. Want it sooner than later especially.

Will definitely update when done.

Also hoping to do some latest factory software updates on the car with him as well and having AMR tuner tune ecu and compare results versus racechip ultimate for fun. Bought it due to being curious and was decently priced for a piggyback LoL.
