M276 Mileages and Serpentine Belt
Love my 2012 E350 4m ... as you know .. first year for the M276 DI engine on the E class, though. So .. couple of quick questions for you all out there with M276 equipped E class autos:
How many miles have you all accrued thus far ... and ... and issues at all to speak of? I have done absolutely nothing to my M276 other than 5k mi Mobile 1 oil changes.... with zero issues. Currently at 60k mi.
My 2006 M272 equipped E350 snapped its Serpentine belt at exactly 72,512 miles. So 2nd question is ... does anyone know when Serpentine swap is due on M276? Has anyone done this?
Thanks in advance, folks.

Belts are not expensive and easy to replace. Just look at yours and if it is getting small cracks or a hard glaze, install a new one. Stick the old one in the trunk as an emergency spare. I don't think there's a set lifespan for them.
I replaced the original belt at about 35k miles - I didn't like the way the grooves were starting to crack. Took about 15 minutes, done.

I changed mine around 150k miles, still looked good, i keep it w/my spare as a back up.
Only issue ive had was a piece of carbon broke off and threw timing off in one of rhe cylinders and shut it down
at 99k
limped to dealer, got a loaner, they said when they turned it back on the engine was fine and engine light was off.

These engines have a double chain that takes care of the engine timing or so I thought before this post...
