Steering wheel (what makes it vibrate)
I just bought a oem wood steering wheel for my E350 2015. Im getting ready to swap it out. My car has Lane assist which makes it vibrate when crossing over lines in the road. I dont really wanna loose that function so does anyone know what makes it vibrate. Is there a motor inside of my steering wheel? And where would it be located. Thanks

The airbag on your original wheel is shaped differently than the flat bottom you purchased. Go ahead and test fit it, you will see.

Yeah I just tried. It snaps into place but the bottom of the airbag doesn't fit in so well. Oh well guess I'm buying a new airbag. Does anybody know the correct part number for one for flat bottom wood steering wheel

This is turning out to be an expensive swap. I have the same steering wheel you are installing and I must say it is a very nice addition.

Could you please share that ebay seller. I wanted to swap to a wooden steering wheel (Burl walnut wood with grey dash interior). either flat bottomed or full circle is fine.
I'm from Charlotte, NC. is there any chance you could help me with a quote on wooden steering and airbag if required.

well i got my steering wheel installed. Im going to put in the correct airbag today. If anyone is wandering the vibrater is located at the bottom of the steering wheel. There is only 1 vibrator and 2 screws holding it in place. I found the correct vibrator for $40. Heres a pic of the install. And also i came across this black leather flat bottom steering wheel that ill sell for $150. Its really nice shape.

Thanks Johnny, im really happy that i bite the bullet and did it. It matches perfectly and the feel of the steering wheel is nice. Even better the flat bottom gives more room...That Black flat bottom steering wheel i have for sale is in almost perfect shape and i have it priced to sell.
