Seat interchangeability?
2014 E350 Sport. Passenger's side lower seat cover is splitting. New cover is $550 if I install it myself, and if I can decipher all the options to actually order the correct part number. $1500 if I just have the dealer do it. Not covered under CPO so now I'm shopping used. I have a black MB-Tex, non-ventilated seats, probably the most common out there. Almost all of the used seats I'm seeing are out of '10-'13 W212s, but at least in pictures, they look identical. Does anyone know if they are? I only want an exact match. I can hold out for a while if it means I need to get a '14-'16 part, but it really does look identical. I just don't want to pay $200-$500 for a seat and have it not match the driver's, or get a cushion and it doesn't even match the backrest, or the seat heater or airbag plugs are different. Any thoughts?

Just had mine replaced on a 2013 with 50K. drivers side. adviser recognized it as known problem and covered it. yours should too if your mileage is similar. Call mbusa if not. the quality on these cars is questionable.

Who at "mbusa" should I call? They checked and double checked but it's not covered under my CPO, which at 58,000 miles I just transitioned to in November.

agreed it's not covered under cpo. only the factory warranty. as was the case for me. but they still covered it. in fact with no push back. However call 18003676372. I'm actually calling them right this second on another issue.

Oh, gotcha, yeah I just got the driver's done in November no questions asked under the factory warranty, but I can't get this one done now that it's transitioned to CPO.
