2010 Mercedes Benz E550 Problem
I was driving home and turned on cruise to get a message that says cruise control inoperative. I pulled over and turned the car on and off then the message went away and the cruise worked. As soon as I get home the check engine light pops on I've only been driving this car for around 2-3 months and it has 91k on it 4k from me. If anyone has experience this and knows what the problem is. I will use a vehicle scanner on monday to check out the car hoping nothing major is wrong.

This battery cost me $65 at the dealer but others have posted buying it at around $20 or so from other sources. Not expensive enough for me to go shopping around if the dealer has it like they did.
I had a couple occasions where my Distronic did not work and stopping the car and re-starting helped.
This battery may not be your problem but if it has not been changed yet it is about the time to do it anyway and it might just fix your problems.

That code relates to the Evaporative Control (EVAP) system. Based on a little googling, I would clear the code and see if it comes back if it were me. Fill up the tank too, don't overfill and be sure cap is secure. Seems like the actual problem might be hard to track down so hopefully it won't come back for you.
The cruise inoperative happens - hopefully infrequently. Restarting the car like you did usually solves it for folks. But it is most likely unrelated to the CEL.

Funny thing is when I went to go get the codes cleared and checked out the engine light actually went off on its own. I did clear it thinking it may have something to do with the gas tank or maybe even a thing with the gravel road I live on. I'm just going to invest into a Bluedriver that I'll just keep in my car and it'll keep me updated on if the CEL turns back on and what it is.
