AMR Performance: MB E550 Stage 1 ECU Tune "Beast Mode"
Since we tune countless AMG's a week, our client Victor brought us his Mercedes-Benz E550 in hopes to receive "AMG like" power without purchasing the car.
We did that and then some!
Dyno: DynoJet 424xLC2
Factory "Stock" Power Numbers: 365whp / 454wtq
AMR Performance NEW Power Numbers: 457whp / 634wtq
He now drives this torque monster everywhere and loves every second of it.
For any E550 owner that would a little pep in their step, we are still OFFERING 20% OFF, so take advantage while you can! Of course, my AMG guys can take advantage as well
Contact me for info!

So what is the gain on a 2010 w212 5.5 V8?
What's the difference from your tune and say...OE? Do I have to send in my ecu? Do you drill in to my ecu? I've had my car for 4 months, so these are legitimate questions I have. I've never heard of you guys before..just trying to make educated decisions!!
Thanks in advance

Not trying to be snarky...but why so secretive? I asked in a public forum, by the other reply from someone else it appears others have the same questions as I. I do appreciate the contact number and I plan I calling when I can, after a 14 hour work day I get my daughter, and I'm dealing with a custody battle so it's almost easier to coordinate via here. Others such as OE tuning are pretty open hence why I was considering them. And of course ( and I would hope this isn't the case) if you tried to pull the wool over my eyes... Someone who could call your BS....no so via pm. I truly am looking forward to your response and definitely interested in more information when you can..
Thanks

The numbers are obviously from a twin turbo 4.6 liter engine.
No way you re going to get that kind of power from the M273 unless you add a blower or make it closer to being a race motor with a higher redline..
Getting more power out of turbos isn't as hard as making more power from a naturally aspirated engine in general, especially if the boost is relatively low from the factory.
One of the main things to be concerned about is if the other components in the power train are engineered to withstand this kind of power increase.
If not, you're going to have a failure elsewhere in time.

Do I have to send in my ecu?
No one is being secretive. All of the gains and information is on our website available for all to see. I also responded to your DM answering all of your questions.
Sounds like you have dealt with some issues with other brands in the past. Out of professional courtesy, we cannot comment on what another brand offers as I can only provide you with information on what we offer.
Our responses to you are the same publicly as they are privately. Most would like the one-on-one conversation as its more personable, but if you would like the answers publicly, then that is not a problem.
- Yes, you will need to ship your ECU to us.
- No, we do not "drill" the ECU.

I would love to see some track results. only a few of us with the m278 4matics have run at the track and all have the same issues with the TQ management limiting the launch. best I have seen was a 1.89 60ft, most guys are in the 1.9X range. I know me and the Renntech guys are all trapping around the same at 114-115mph. would love to see if your tune differs at all.
