Looks good ...I'm tempted on buying one of these but not sure how I feel about the 10 25 screen ...does it distract you while driving ? Especially at night?

No distraction at all, I only use this screen in carplay mode so its no different to my other cars with carplay.

How´s the "sun-flares".
I mean, the original screen sits protected form the sun.
This unit protrudes and sits open for the light to hit the screen..

I have not experienced any glare issues. It looks bad in the pic due to the angle I took the picture from.
If I had to give it some negative points they would be:
- Sound quality through Apple carplay is noticeably worse than Bluetooth, it sounds underpowered and relatively mono in comparison.
- Its annoying to have to go into Apps to load carplay.
- Cannot re-order/delete useless icons on homescreen.

Plus points
- Huge upgrade in terms of looks (imo)
- Touch screen quality is good
- Rear reverse camera video quality has hugely improved.
- Can play around with Google Play apps, but I don't bother as I have to reconnect to my phone's hot spot everytime. And the apps are generally also not optimised for this screen ratio.
- Youtube for when I can be bothered.
- Apple maps look super cool on this screen. Google maps will work soon with the release of IOS12 too.


Would I buy again? Hell yes. 4500hkd including install. Apple carplay adaptor cost me 800hkd.

Currently investigating if I can enable Android Auto on my W212 E-klass 2016 as an SW upgrade/install.

If that's not possible I'll probably invest in this screen.

Yes, I think it does.

According to "Chris the Swede" it works fine.
That's why I have it as second option if Mercedes can't install it on my car.
