better than 34 mpg on road trip
Drove 258 miles back from trip into Indiana. Filled tank up before and then after. Put 7.5 gallons into car upon return. That was better than 34mpg. Not bad for a 6 cylinder car. That was going about 75mph most of the time. Best Gasoline car I have ever owner for gas MPG. Car is almost 5 years old and I have about 14,000 miles on it. The Jerking in transmission went away at about 12,000 miles or I got so used to it that I do not notice it anymore. Navigation works great since they replaced the head unit and I can even put my home address into it now and it is accepted. Really have no complaints on the vehicle anymore. Finally satisfied with the ride.

I have original plugs in my vehicle. You are supposed to change them every 60,000 miles . I will never make it to 60,000 since I average less than 3,000 miles a year it would take me about 20 years. I will probably be dead by then. But my ride is Gasoline and not blue tech.

That's ok glad to see such great MPG. The best I ever got on previous cars was 26 mpg on Highway. That car is now 19 years old and I still get 24 mpg. It has original plugs also. Wife made me keep it because it has no high tech devices and is easy for her to drive.
Right. I think it’s all great. I’ll bet the majority of people don’t know that Mercedes produces cars that are a joy to drive and can suck up the miles with great mpg at the same time. MB doesn’t advertise mpg like other manufacturers do. Perhaps they should. My TTV8 gets amazing mpg for a high HP car and I love it.
Mine is consistently 26-28 for all around driving but I'm really tempted to install the NGK plugs to see if the mileage improves.
Currently Bosch oem replaced about a month ago. But it's cheap enough to try the NGK's.

26-28 all around is great. I do not know if you would get any better with the NGK

"Don't bring knife to gunfight"
It should not be a big trouble to indicate in topic title what engine/fuel we are referring to.
I am getting better than 30 mpg in city driving, where ECO stops are great since on 10 miles drive we sit at least 5 times at 2-minute red lights.
For me MB is not only enjoyable, but most of the time the cheapest brand to drive. For years, importing diesels to California I enjoyed driving them and then selling for profit after couple of years.
Obviously once I start buying newer cars, the depreciation hit me, but still driving 45 mpg MB saves me enough money on driving, that few hundreds spend on part here or there still beats driving Prius.
I also like the convenience of not pulling to gas station for 700 miles. This way I fill up when I see good price, not when I am desperate.

Did not matter what fuel you are using. It was informative that bluetec get that great of fuel economy. I had no idea but it still would not make me buy a bluetec even it they got 200 mpg. I am just not a diesel person.
NOPE.
After reset the meters show what MB engineers figure out average for the car.
On my 320 Bluetec it is 30 mpg, on 250 Bluetec i think 35 mpg.
The 99.9 mpg is the end of the scale as I calculated that driving 10 miles down from the mountain the car had to average above 150 mpg.
Enough for the counter to keep 99.9 for following 15 miles of flat freeway driving, where the car averages 60 mpg. at those speeds.
The 50 miles trip show 58 mpg average as I had to cut across the city later on.
Or in different way, I made 50 miles trip for 2 dollars and 70 cents.
How is that for AMG owners?
