Recently used a Sirius free 2 month trial offer.
Since then issues with Navigation and Radio.
Sometimes it locks up while listening to SIrius and try to change station.
Trying to use navigation while listening to radio or Sirius after couple miles locks up and says DRIVE NOT AVAILABLE.
I have 2016 map.

Went to dealership for B service few days ago and they could not find any computer errors nor repair.
they stated something like probable software issue related to satelite receiver.
They could not update nav Maps due to the one tech who does these updates was out in field or something. (sketchy but again I was in hurry)
I did not have time to discuss further as I had road trip following day.

During trip navigation was worthless as after few miles would lock up and end up rebooting on its own and comeing back on to FM Radio.
If I then went to NAV I got DRIVE UNAVAILABLE error.
I could see directions under speedo screen but would lock up if I tried Command screen.

Eventually My fuel gage went to ZERO but no fuel light and I had over half tank based on what I knew for mileage left in tank as miles to empty on screen would not read any numbers.

Stopped and filled tank - issues still there.

SO frustrated while driving; I ended up calling Sirius to cancel free trial. they sent turn off code and i then re-booted radio by holdnig power button down until it cycled off and on.

after few miles everything worked as it should have and fuel gage came back to life.

Question:
Anyone else have this issue?
Anyone know of TSB or something to hint to dealer so they will repair properly?
Or do I try dealer again?
Or do I live without Sirius?

I am the only with hard drive errors?

Bulletin released 4/2014 claiming under investigation. Temporary remedy perform soft reset by pressing ON button for 10 seconds as you did. Implies you can continue Sirius subscription. Present a copy of bulletin to service manager to see if matter has been resolved and if not, have shop foreman or lead tech follow up with MBUSA technical support.

Thanks but not the same error...
I had Satelite radio and it worked no issues...

But if I tried to use navigation and MAP and drove any distance where map had to move it would lock up (sound stayed on but screen locked and could nto do anything with buttons).
ten it would flash HARD DRIVE UNAVAILABLE.

I would reset and everything was fine as long as I did not use navigation...

Again eventually by having sirus turned off I could get navigation to work.

Still works today in fact everything fine but cannot have Sirius which is OK but SUCKS since it was a free trial.

now it is locking up sometimes or resetting on its own while driving and just listening to radio.

Time to go back to dealer for free coffee and run around

so now it seems to reboot at will and often.
Sometimes the navigation locks up when trying to use it.
Sometimes the controls lock up and you can do nothing while it is stuck on last radio station or song or whatever.

Very annoying for expensive car.

My issues seem to be common send it in for repair... yet I am still under warranty.

Well back to the dealer for explanation... and serious web search to be there informed...

Thanks for posting the link, I saved that info. Awhile back I had a situation where the COMAND would reboot over and over again. Took it in under warranty but by then of course it worked fine. However I may have resolved the symptoms by removing my phone from being paired with the system. I found info where for some reason the COMAND system "forgot" what the phone was. They checked the audio ring and connectors etc and did a hard reset of the system. No further issues so far.
I hope you post any resolution the dealer may find, this stuff can drive you nuts.

For first year I had no issues... not until I head 2 dead Aux Batteries and then problems show up.

MB should be embarrassed... my friends and wife who ride with me always ask when this crap happens "The Best or Nothing huh!"

Went to dealer last week we discussed checking software on my comand and new nav maps.

they installed update and new maps and everything seems better but will find out as I drive her some.

Wish they could tell you what the upgrade does.... and how to confirm what I have versus what the latest is without going to dealer...

Argggggggggggg issue is back again...like a bad cold...

Ocassional all controls are locked out so cannot get to phone or change station or volume nothing.
No Error shown just lock up.
So I reboot and all seems good

But press the nav button to view map and after about 5 miles --- LOCKS UP again and DRIVE UNAVAILABLE is displayed on screen.

I unhooked everything from radio = USB stick with songs on it and the stupid cable MB supplies (I use to charge my phone occassionally)
Problem is the same.

Never know when it will happen.
Blue tooth works fine

I guess time to go to dealer again to check for another update or ????

I hate COMMAND and MB engineers they should be embarrassed.

Took long journey in AUg and NAvworked flawlessly.

Leave yesterday for same trip and nav locksup after 2 miles into 910 mile trip.

Rebooted the thing probably 40t times over this 12 hour drive. no help.
only way to get nav was to set steering wheel controls to nav on speedo and then that would freak out once in a while and forget where to go and "re-calculate"

What a POS system.

Thought of pulling fuses but did not have the time nor was weather being nice.

When I return will drop it off at dealer and complain again and beg for relief or MERCY!

To summarize:

I get the NO DRIVE AVAILABLE error after 2-5 miles of driving while in NAV.
If I do not go to NAV and stay in RADIO screens it is fine unless you hit big bump then somee times it reboots.

Wife thought it was funny and said here TOMTOM works pretty good and did not cost as much as this pig.

Have not been to dealer yet for them to look at car but decided to try nav again while out yesterday...

the dayum thing worked no issues...

I know when I bring it to dealer it will work...only fails when I need it... which is 1-2 times per year.

Still working an no issues but..... not Like I use it much.

I think issue comes about whenever SIrius XM does anything...
Last time I had issue on drive to Chicago... )12 hours) halfway I called up XM while driving and told them to cancel my free trial subscription...

After they did that and I pulled over in rest area turn car off and then back on...

Problems went away and HD and NAV worked...

Tell ya what... I hate this Command system... total crap cause if one thing goes down the whole thing goes down..

might as well have blue screen of death on there and CTRL-ALT-DEL so I feel better...

I mean a cheap system in a GM sonic car is better...
but now they change to whatever they call it and I am sure it is not much better...

but I VENT cause the Command can really get under my skin..

So to answer your question... everything is still working fine and have not been to dealership since... well heck when I got tires last year I think.
