E350 2011 Sunroof leak
E350 2011 Sunroof leak
Hi Guys
Need your help please.
I've some water ingress on the NSF of the sunroof which is making the headliner damp. The car has a pan roof and i suspect the drainage holes are blocked at the front of the sunroof
Problem is that i can't see where the drainage holes are in order to stick an air line through them
Has anyone got a picture or could show me where the front sunroof drainage holes are - or any other advice
It'd be much appreciated
Thanks
Jason (UK)

There are several posts on sunroof leaks in the forum. Here is one, and the solution is to modify the end of the drain hose to stop future clogging. I would not recommend you go after the drain with any kind of high pressure device. You may do more damage than being helpful. Poke the drain with weed wacker string until clear.

Thanks. But both threads don't detail exactly where the drains are located.
It's really not at all obvious when you look inside where the sunroof tracks are. Unless mine is different? Panoramic sunroof as opposed to regular?

The drain holes are in the front quadrant area, so the pickup hose(s) can be attached and routed down the A-pillar. You will need to poke around from the front of the sunroof and back a few inches around the track. Get some plastic weed string and start poking. Be resourceful.
Didn't want to start a new thread, but my 2011 pano wagon has gone through the car wash fine, etc., etc. Today, very heavy rain for an hour. The A pillar, driver's side, is damp. I haven't checked the drains yet, but any ideas? Footwells and all seemed fine (I checked there first). Didn't notice until this evening when my wife was going out in it. Will have another look in the AM.
So, from what people say above, a moderate strength air puff (like that of compressed air duster for electronics) isn't a good idea?
