Are OEM E63 mufflers stamped with amg?

Bought mufflers from a guy on here like 6 months ago, and never got around to putting them on. Said they came of his 2011 e63 but didnt see any amg stamping. I saw some for sale on here tonight and you can make out amg over the part number. Did mb make mufflers with no amg on earlier years? Or am I a moron who got took....

They are stamped with amg. I just put 2015 e63s mufflers and are stamped. I saw some 2011s and they are stamped also. Part numbers for both were on the mufflers.

Agree with b6. I purchased a pair of 2015 E63 mufflers and they were both stamped with AMG, as well as the part number for the left and right side.
Looked at a set from a 2010 on Ebay before purchasing the 15's and they too were stamped with AMG.

Is the member still active on the board?

I'm a total dummy apparently... ill post some pics when I can of what I bought. it's too cold out. And its in my Garage.

I bought them from member Erated...from a post he posted on these boards....im seeing hes still active

@Erated care to chime in buddy? I'm looking through our old emails. I know there is one that u said...and promised..and assured me that even though these mufflers weren't stamped they came off your 2011 E63....

I'm curious what it is you sent me...as I have to dig them out of the garage to verify.

BTW , I've been contemplating an AMG exhaust for awhile. My tuner has stated our E550's have a very quiet but free flowing exhaust system. I'm curious if there is much of a difference (in sound) between the stock E550 and the C63 AMG mufflers? Did you change the entire exhaust system, muffler, resonator or what?
Thanks for your help.

I first removed the resonators but it hardly made any difference. Not like my 09 e63, that got loud. It was perfect. Then I got a pair of c63 mufflers from eBay and put those on. Thinking it would be quiteish because of the turbos. Not really the case. Idle and cruising are quiet with no drone inside. It does make a nice amg/v8 rumble but not obnoxious. Anything over half throttle above 2500ish rpm is loud and crackly like you would expect from an amg. I like it. They say c63 mufflers are the loudest of them all.
Here is a cold start video.

c63 mufflers on a E550

Thank you for the sound clip and the info on your muffler exchange. Hum, I know a sound vid is tough to really tell. I guess I'm thinking less crackly just cruising around along with a wife asking why is the car louder when you speed up. One other thought is keeping it stock and add the Noweeds Diverter system. Really just need to evacuate more at WOT. Again thanks for getting out in that cold air for the vid.

I mean even without a part number or stamp, do they at least have 2 pipes coming out of each muffler?

Looks like you got mufflers without tips. "AMG" is engraved on the stainless steel tips, not the muffler.

My c63 mufflers were stamped AMG on the bottom side by part number on the muffler body.

I thought so too..but then I see these ones and the amg looks like it's on the body of the muffler....any other way I can check? Do you k 9w what the correct diameters should be of the inlet/outlet?

I thought so too! But then I saw this picture and you can see the amg stamping on the actual muffler...that's why i thought i got ripped off.. any ideas how i could check? Maybe by the diameters of the inlet/outlet?

AMG engraved on mine too - but not like those in the last pic. The letters AMG / part numbers are actually like this:
