Determine which airbag is leaking

Just had an idea. I suspect that one of my airbags has a very slow leak but I can’t tell which one it is. I’m thinking of disconnecting the auxiliary battery and letting the car sit parKed a couple days until I can see which side lowers. Anyone else tryi it this way?

Get a spray bottle with some soapy water and start spraying each bag, you should see bubble at the leak

If you live in a cold state just park it outside overnight , and in the morning you will see which one is leaking.
if not
like someone mentioned use a spray bottle maybe?

What is in an airbag to cause a leak? I thought there was just the bag and inflator powder. Nothing under any pressure.

Don’t assume it’s an air spring leak. I’ve had more than one Airmatic equipped MB. There are many points of potential failure. Your idea is not the right approach, sorry.

Ah, that optional "airbag" that no one ever sees, until it leaks.

I thought this was about the airbag (that everyone has) in the steering wheel, LOL.

OK, carry on....

Get a scanner who can read the system.
I don't have airmatic, but my iCarsoft has it in the menu, so I assume it would make full troubleshooting.
The system is very complex and car computer is not giving any feedback to the driver till it comes to complete failure. so scanning it periodically can save you lot of troubles on long run.
The deal is that small leak will not trigger any warning, but will wear out your compressor and flood the system with moisture, so by the time the small leak becomes big enough for warning, you have huge mess.

What warnings do you talk about? I have airmatic and it goes all the way down over night if I leave it at sports suspension mode but if I leave it in comfort it stays up. I leave my car very often for 5 days parked at airport and it has not leaked once yet when I leave it in comfort but in sport mode it will be down when I return.

Anyway, I don't get any warnings when car is down, just a message saying "Car is raising" when it pumps it up from the bottom.

I’ve been thinking about getting a scanner but I know nothing about them. It sounds like you do with scanner is a no regrets for service scanner that will give me all the information for my car and also my older 99 E320?
