Brake pads and rotors

So...who do you guys like for E350 replacement rotors and pads? Not to be rude, but please don't bother responding OEM.

2014 E550-sold 😩
Did you try searching? There must be 25-30 threads on this exact question for replacement pads, rotors that are not OEM.

That sounds complicated. Much easier to make a new one with new people not offering help but rather worrying about the sanctity and integrity of the W212 thread database.

This is what I used on my E550 (and, yeah, I know you have a 350)

Carquest Wearever Platinum Professional

The OEM pads squeeled and these are quiet. YMMV

E350
I have 2010 4matic and changed front rotors and pads 10k miles ago. It was my first change since buying the car with 22k miles on it. I got meyle rotors off eBay for $62 a piece and akebono pads off Amazon for ~$68. Happy with both products after 10k miles. Feels just as good as stock parts before. Haven't had trouble with brake dust with these pads so far.
Brake job was pretty easy to do. There are a bunch of YouTube videos out there if you need

The E550 had different brakes than the E350, actually there were lots of complaints about the E550 but not the E350.

I used Zimmerman brake rotors and Akebono pads. Got the rotors from FCPeuro. They have a lifetime warranty on all the parts they sell. Got the Akebono from Amazon, they're about $30 more on Fcpeuro, but I guess it'd be worth it if you get a replacement set from them as Akebono just has a 30 day warranty. No complaints, no dust and no noise. Didn't have noise with oem either, just lots of dust.

Funny how egos play role in lot of forum replies.
When I don't like AC topics coming in hundreds each spring, the fluid and pads topics made again make sense.
We are living in times when technology brings new materials every month and for my 10 yo Bluetec, the oil recommendations changed like 5 times already.
So coming to pads choice - I am not buying anything but Akebono
Anybody having better recommendations than no-dust, 400,000 miles rated pads?
Give me some facts, not the famous "work for me 5 years ago"

Not to confuse the issue....But, some of the websites that sell rotors and pads (or whole kits) ask if you have the sport package. Not sure why it changes the brake parts.
My window sticker has ' 321 Sport Package : Lowered sport suspension,Sport Bodystyling' . I also have 18" AMG wheels, with staggered tires. Vented rotors.
.I don't want to order the wrong parts. I have used FCP for Volvo parts and Rock auto for BMW parts in the past. ( old shade tree mechanic )

This is my first MB All advice appreciated

Alan, I can't say about the 2016 but the rotors on my 2011 w/ Sport package were a larger diameter than the regular sedan.
Just personal preference, I got rid of the drilled rotors and went with blanks.

Akebono, never replaced rotors on either of our E250s. Rotors look almost new at 100,000k miles. No dust...
