Best Bluetooth adapter with Android?
Hello, all. I've been reading up on my options regarding Bluetooth audio streaming in my 2011 E550, but all my searches have lead me to adapters that support iTunes and iPhones only. Is there an option for Android phones that shows the song info on-screen and supports steering wheel controls? I have a Galaxy S9 and I typically use my Napster app for music. Thanks in advance.

I believe you can enable BT on the engineering menu:
-End Call + # + 1: opens Engineering Mode
- HU Settings
- HU Parameter
(the following are the settings I put them in)
(1) BT contact plate: Not Installed
(2) LCT: Installed
(3) BT audio: On
(4) Audio Aux: Off (greyed out: not an option)
(5) Video Aux: Off
(6) Navi: installed
(7) BT: on

-End Call + # + 1: opens Engineering Mode

I did the same but keep experiencing audio cut out when listening to music. I plugged in a tune2air (had it from a previous Audi) to the ipod adapter and works flawless with no interruption of audio.

Noted. I have yet to experience any interruptions, but it's a very small sample size.

I wonder if that due to the BT being MB's early attempt, hence disabling it by default? I haven't had any issues on mine thankfully. I'm fact it works better than my Lincoln's.

My girlfriend has a 2012 Infinity FX35, and her Bluetooth connection is very spotty. Though, she uses an iPhone, so it's not really apples to apples. So far, so good with my Galaxy connecting to my Benz Bluetooth. *fingers crossed*

It was a couple months ago, so it's not fresh in my memory, but if I remember correctly, I had to hold them for a bit. I remember having a little trouble with that step as well, but I'm pretty sure holding them for an extended period of time is what finally did the trick (10 seconds?). Also, I can now report after using the Bluetooth audio streaming quite a lot, it is crisp, quick to connect, and I have experienced no interruptions. Hope this helps.
