Squeaky Windshield Wipers

Can someone please help me with these squeaky wipers. I changed the wipers and had the same results. I had GlassParency but on.. same results. Also take a look at the slight bend in my wiper arm. Is that normal? Below are a few videos of my issue:

Wax your windshield with this...

Very thin coat.

Buff clear with microfiber towel.

Don't get any on plastic or rubber!

Mine are squeaking and hopping like mad as well despite them being only a month or two old, so addressing that is on my list for this weekend. I plan on clay barring the windshield and using a car wax on it, as retna7 recommended. I'll likely just be using the plain jane Turtle Wax, but I'll try Nu Finish if that doesn't work.

Let us know how you fare and I'll do the same

@KillBillz Hello,

I would invite you to take a look at our windshield rain repellent, Vision Protect. This hydrophobic coating will last up to two years on the windshield and five on the side glass. Unlike other products, you do not need to revitalize the coating. Tested up to 500,000 wiper cycles, UV resistant, inorganic hard coating. Vision Protect is easy to apply and is a nanotechnology. Never any wiper chatter.
Thanks,
John

Couldn't see any attachments, but have you tried cheap solutions such as "RainX" for the windshield? It works pretty well for me. No squeaking in over five years.

Yeah I don't think MBWorld allows google drive links. RainX is know for contributing to squeaking windshield wiper blades, So I have been staying far away. Glad it has worked for you

I clay barred and waxed my windshield this weekend and it's wiping nice and smoothly now. We'll see how long it lasts but it won't hurt to reapply in fall anyway.

I had the squeaky wiper issue as well until last fall. The only fix was buying Mercedes Benz wipers. Previously I went through 3 pairs of Bosch wipers I bought on Amazon (trying to get away with a cheaper option) with no luck. They would fail after a month or so, faster when it got cold in the Midwest.
Tried Scotty's snake oil solution, as usual it didn't work. I don't know about the other company advertising here, haven't tried theirs.
The current MB wipers have been on since last fall, they've been through a very cold winter in MO and since January the car has been sitting outside in mid TX. They still work fine, no squeaks or streaks. My windshield is very run down, there's a lot of pitting and 3 rock chips so it would eat the wipers faster. These are holding up ok so far. Got a good deal on them on mboem, I think it was around 54$. They usually go for 45$ each but they're worth it. They even have a little dot that changes color when it's time for replacement.
Another option would be Valeo, but I haven't tried those yet. Definitely stay away from Bosch, they are crap.

Well after an hour or two of use it's starting to come back I'm using OEM wipers (FCP's warranty FTW!) and installed these maybe 5 months ago. I've had mixed luck with Bosch in the past so they won't be my first choice but they won't be out of the running either. I guess I'll start trying different brands and see how it goes.

I wonder if the wiper arm springs are losing their tension.

"Aerospace Protectant"? Where to buy? Any size smaller than for treating an entire fleet of 300 busses for 20 years?

Ah, "much more better." Thanks. Since it's a UV protectant, it might also be useful in coating that readily fading Burl Walnut interior trim, too.

I've always had bad luck luck with Bosch blades, even being new my last pair lasted for 1 week before they started squeaking. My current ones are OEM with the Mercedes emblem on one edge of the blade, and I've had the car for about 8 months now, and they've been flawless. They maybe a bid pricey, but it's worth the money. I might even try that stuff shared by Retna7.
