w-212 Spark plugs

I have a 2011 E350 Sport.
What spark plugs are the best to use in it?
How often should they be replaced?

Thanks for any advice.

Get genuine Mercedes Benz spark plugs. They are due every 60k on your vehicle.

see below from owners manual (albeit it’s from 2010, not 2011, but same engine).

For the M272 engine which is what is in the 2011 E-350, the NGK 4288 Laser Platinum were pretty popular in the W211 forums. The 2012+ had a different engine and used a multi spark system and I believe the plugs were also indexed based on the manufacturer so for those years I'd stick to the oem brand.

For fun, you could try the Autolite Iridium plugs, they're $4.67 per plug on rockauto and there's a $3 rebate per plug so $1.67 a plug or about $10 for a set of plugs or $8.62 if you use the 5% discount code on retailmenot.

So we have have to change spark plug every 60k miles?
I'm surprise we have to change it out that often but if it's called out then I guess we have to do it.
I thought spark plug usually last until 105k miles.

They probably do last for 100k, but that would probably be in 10 years and MB likes to be conservative so there's a possibility that if you leave them in that long, they might rust up or seize and it'd be hard to get them out at that point, easier to just replace them every 6 years. At least it's just a single spark plug, in the older models, they had two spark plugs per cylinder.

I recently got the Bosch ZR6SII3320 for my spark plug change out. I've got some 3K miles to reach 120K miles. I hope these are good plugs!

I changed mine at around 100k miles and the plugs that came out looked to be in very good shape. Usually you can see wear on the electrodes but these had none.

Changed them out though as you cannot see internals of the plugs.
