Best HID conversion Kit H7 for 2011 E350???
hi all,
I have halogen bulb for my E350 and I'm looking for HID Kit replacement.
I looked around and seen kit range from $40 to $120.
I'd love to know feedback from fellows in here about their HID Kit and what work for them.
Thanks a lot.

The best of the best will be MTEC kit, but authentic ones (yes there are fakes) retail for $300ish. The Morimoto kits we carry are a close second. It's a very well established company with a more reasonable price point for top tier kit, blending stable quality components, good engineering, and great performance. They only perform slightly lower than MTEC, but come in at half the price.
HIDs aren't our bread and butter (LEDs are), but our customers asked us to offer HIDs as a total lighting solution provider so we did an analysis of over 40 different brands and settled on Morimoto as the best of breed blending all the previously mentioned attributes to distribute for.

IMO after several years of faultless operation, Morimoto H7 35w Elite CANBUS kit, I use 5.5k (white) bulbs. $150 and worth it.

The stock halogen projectors provide excellent cut-off and even light dispersion. No glare to oncoming traffic and right shoulder area is illuminated well. I suspect but can't confirm that the oem P2 xenon lights may actually use the same projectors. The Morimoto bulbs are correctly aligned and are well made, no color change or flickering, even after 4 years. I had done a true retrofit using E55 projectors on another vehicle - I found that the stock E350 projectors worked equally well. I got mine from retrofitsource.com but I believe AZN sells the same kit.
I'm not a proponent of HID into stock non-projector housings but this setup in the W212 works very well due to the projector lenses. Highly recommend. Just be very sure all wiring entry in the access cap is sealed well. I have also ensured ballasts and wiring are secured well behind the plastic wheel well shields. Driver side the shield needs to be removed to access, I also removed passenger side as well to be sure everything tucked away.

Thanks Mud.
I will try the Morimoto H7 35w.
There are a few options for 5k, 6k, 8k and even 10K but I will stick with 5k like you said.
I will let you know the result.

You're highest lumen will actually be at 4500k (soft white), but it's only a slight drop to 5500k and you get a much more aesthetically pleasing pure white color. 6500k is white with a slight bluish hue... No purple. You'd have to be on the 9000k+ range to see purple.
