Auto Stop/Start not working even with new Aux battery

Hello guys,
When my Aux battery needs replacement around 8 months ago, I didn't replace it for 3 or 4 weeks. During that time, the HOLD feature was disabled for 3 weeks, and then I think it transferred that job/feature to the Main battery. Distronic features were gone until I replaced the battery.
In the meanwhile, I replaced another Aux battery, as it went bad about a month ago.

Since the first aux battery is out, the ECO Start/Stop feature isn't working.
I don't have a garage, so I could not do trickle charging but I had more than 4 long trips of each close to 1000 miles which is enough to charge the aux battery to its full capacity right?

1. What is the fuse I need to check for this feature.
2. What other possibilities to lose that feature? I have an appointment tomorrow, but they will charge 160$ for diag. alone.

Thanks in Advance.

raja, check your MAIN battery. My main battery was replaced recently (aux not replaced), and the ECO Start is back, just as annoying as always.

I concur. Check your main battery. So, you have replaced the ECO start/stop battery twice in 8 months now?

Yes, orig Aux battery failed, replaced with Duralast platinum (3 year warranty) from autozone, it failed within a month, but replaced a month ago.
the latest one shows good though.

In the month of Jan or Feb, the stealership told the main battery is showing low, but in April another dealership didn't complain about it.
Probably I'll wait for the fall coupon and get it replaced, as these Auto parts stores don't want to touch Mercedes battery for replacement.

Charge your main battery. Your functions should come back, and it will help prolong battery life. These cars leave the battery in a perpetually discharged state which isn't good for battery life, but may add 0.05MPG.

I reccomend using a CTEK or NOCO charger.

Raja,

Just curious, is your ECO green LED still active now that it does not do actual ECO function ?

if yours shows green, at 0mph speed. engine should stop running, with one of the pistons in ready to start primed state.

in order for eco to work, there are few conditions that need to be met like below:

I always kill the ECO function, I hate it.
Upon engine start from cold, my ECO button will show the green LED and instrument panel has the yellow ECO icon and I turn it off immediately.
I have only used the ECO mode during first week of ownership, after that I keep it off manually at all times.

Honestly I never check to see what color the green LED at button would change to, during ECO feature ( engine kill ) conducted by the engine at traffic stop.
I also never bother to check if the yellow ECO label at instrument panel will blink or whatnot during ECO engine kill.

Yes, I have read a long time ago all its required parameter for start/stop to occur.

So does your green LED at ECO button shows green and the instrument panel yellow ECO icon turns on at the moment , albeit ECO function does not work.

Currently it is showing yellow for good.
I would really like it if it is combined with hold feature on our car. that way, I know I'll stay here for a while, instead of turning off in a bumper to bumper traffic or stopped to yield for someone.
