How common is the 125th Anniversary edition W212 E Class?
To date I have only ever seen mine and one other. This was from back in 2011 to commemorate the first car ever, invented by Karl Benz, the Benz Motorwagen (1886). It's only on W212 pre-facelift E Classes, they had a bunch with upgraded sports and entertainment options and Designo interiors. They also came with the upgraded NTG 4.5 nav that only the facelifted W212's got (before the facelift came along), and with special 125th Anniversary badging. Anyone else seen them?
It was a good deal at the time with a whole bunch of upgrades and a Designo interior all packaged together under a discount price to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the first car ever, that happens to be a Benz.
Mine is also a 2011 125th Edition Avantgarde.
Here in Hong Kong, the 125th Edition equipped with air-cond/heat seats, keyless go and double sun-roof.
However, no 125th badges on the car.
Basically all Benz cars from 2011 up are 125 cars?
That's another way of looking at it, and I agree. Carl Benz created the first automobile, and among all the companies to come after, they can't catch 125... and counting. (not writing this to be snooty... the facts are the facts.)

I got The Star magazine for years and there were several cool articles about the route as well as the first car by Benz over the years, his wife I think drove it if memory serves. Wonder if they played soccer back then too LOL (first soccer mom) Anyone currently getting The Star?
Well, I find it interesting, I saw one in Black at Mercedes of Manhattan when I bought my '12, I thought I remember them coming in Black and Irridium Silver, yours is Palladium Silver like my '13 is. I love this color, but I like my blue as well. I went there to buy the blue car, so I did. Surprised to see one in Palladium, didn't know they made them that color.
Never was aware of this. What else makes it different besides badges?
I have no official source about what makes them different, however; I can make some observations about my 125th Anniversary Edition vs what I see in cars like mine from the same year without the 125th badge.
Mine is an OM642 diesel engine, it has a Designo interior with a bamboo wood trim, and black real leather seats. The navigation screen is an updated NTG4.5 unit that started rolling out on all E classes in 2012, even though the car itself is from 2011, I found this very unique. And the instrument cluster is also the all new full colour display even though cars from 2011 still had that older monochrome display. Also the diesel fuel filter on the engine is the new updated (way more expensive ) version than what the 2011 diesel engines had at the time. It also comes with the lower sports suspension and the sports 18 inch wheels.

Assume you are talking about The Star magazine which is for members of The Mercedes-Benz Club of America. I was in it for a few years after I got my car, but dropped out.

I had it for about 5 or 6 years and still have them all too; taking up space haha. Even the MB indy shop didn't want them lol.

I kept mine for quite a while, but eventually sent them on to recycling. They were fairly informative for newer M-B owners, but appeared focused mainly on older, wealthy owners of older M-B's. I have a lot of old collector car and train related magazines. Take up a lot of space, but nobody wants them.
