Angry W212 Dash Warning - Does anyone know what this is?

I've been the proud owner of a E350 W212 and hasn't missed a beat in 6 years, then today, I started getting the following error on my dash. Does anyone know what it is and how to fix it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Your Airmatic system has an issue. Now fixing it, is another problem all together. Could be a bad strut, rear air spring, valve control, leak, level sensor, and on.
Get it diagnosed or spend the rest of your summer chasing it down by asking lots of questions that no one can answer.

Thank you KEY08, I guess the biggest issue now is, why am I getting an Airmatic system issue when I don't have Airmatic?

You are a funny guy.
Look in your manual under Airmatic. Then either get it repaired or have it installed, so the warning has meaning.

I spoke with the garage. My car does have airmatic suspension... I had no idea, certainly didn't pay for it. Problem solved!

Ok, you are not too observant then. I have had more than one Airmatic equipped Mercedes and they are NOISY AS HELL! Farting, burping, humming, etc. at any time of day and even while sleeping in the garage. The problem is far from being solved. ha!

After several threads on this topic, the teachable moment here is... Run, do not walk, away from the Airmatic Suspension.

I'm kind of torn on that...It's the one option I wish I had, but also glad I don't have it! LOL!

And KEY08 didn't mention all the threads on leaking bags, etc.

The more I read about it the more I realize I didn't need airmatic at all, and am glad I don't have it. These cars are far too complicated as is, without this bell and whistle. And the non-airmatic cars ride well enough, it's difficult imagining any improvement offered by all the complication... worth all the eventual headaches.

It is simple.
When airmatic works and provides comfort - the owners love it. But those are mostly the owners who paid big $$ for new car, or 2nd owners who bought with CPO warranties.
But when it comes to cheap hobbyists, like most of forum members - when you buy the car for 8 grands or 15% of original price and 6 months later you get $ 6000 maintenance estimate, you start

I am personally fun of airmatic and being DIY, would not mind spend couple thousands every 10 years for new parts, but being diesel lover in first place, I was never given the option.
So now I ***** after driving over each street cover.
1 option I still have >>> after wearing the 18" tires I might switch to 16" wheels I have left from W211.

The only reason I would want it is the ease of lowering the car without having to replace all 4 springs, and having the ability to lower and raise the car to match the situation(driving vs parking). Other than that, I couldn't care less about it.

These are Mercedes-Benzes. They are not California low-riders/hoppers...

I was referring to your remark... "having the ability to lower and raise the car to match the situation(driving vs parking)." I couldn't care less what stance my car takes when parked. But it seems important for some others.

Perhaps I could have spent more time finding a more appropriate example...
