Piggyback for 550 (m278)?
Picked up a 14 E550 4matic a few months ago and am loving it so far. At some point in the future I think I will want to bump the power up slightly. Some quick research shows there are multiple tuners offering ECU flashes, but I'd prefer something like a piggyback that is less invasive and easier to switch back to stock. Anyone know of a solution for the M278 engines? TIA

nope, tunes only. and they are easy to return to stock if needed.
also, it is more than a "slight" bump in power...tunes can increase power by 100-150hp and 200-250 lb/ft, depending on the tune

How do you do the tune in 2 minutes? Does someone sell a device for this at any somewhat reasonable price? They all require sending in ECU or bringing in car to a performance tuning shop to my knowledge.

Did some searching on here, seems OE Tuning is a good option offering OBDII handheld and now another adapter that works with Andorid (via cable). I'm in for that if they run the sale prices again. The one posted above is wayyyy too much money they are asking. Seems Eurocharged offers the same handheld device, so maybe I'll swing by their shop and see if they want to match OE tuning.
I had no idea this was readily available now. My hesitation on the tune was always that it was not easily changed back, like a Cobb type tuner. I'm likely getting a GL550 in my stable soon, so it'll be fun to add some power on that bus.

Yes, the Renntech is too expensive, but to my knowledge, they were the only one offering a handheld tuner with their tune for the TT cars. I have a Eurocharged tune that was WAY cheaper than Renntech's, but I didn't get a handheld with it, not that I needed one...
