Wheel Fitment/Tire Question

I picked these S Class wheels up yesterday and went to go test fit them but the tires are WAY too big to put them on my E class. The current tires on them are 255/45/19 and 275/40/19.

Does anyone know what the perfect tire size would be for these wheels on a 2014 E350 4Matic?

The wheel sizes are 8.5x19 et38 front
9.5x19 et38 rear.

Any feedback is appreciated!

The recommended sizes are:
Front: 245/35/19
Rear: 275/30/19

Thanks for getting back to me! I went to the tire store today and they said that I should get 245/30/19 & 285/30/19. I believe that both will work.

You can't have more than a 3% difference in tire diameter between front and back - especially since you have a 4Matic. Then there's also the error factor of the speedometer. You should find an online tire size calculator to verify.

Yup. The overall diameter is going to be 25.75 in the front and 25.73 in the rear. That's less than 3%.

Or do 245/35-19 and 285/30-19. It’s less than 1%. That’s what I run on my E63 staggered wheels

I apologize for putting in 245/35 & 285/30! Did not mean to write 245/30.

I really hope they don’t hit the suspension or the fender since the E350 fenders are not as wide as the E63 😕

You won’t have any problem in front with that setup and the rear fenders are the same on the E63.

Here are my 285 rears. They got some beef!

those look very meaty! I’m getting some Continental DWS06’s put on and I’m very excited. I’ll post some pictures when it’s done (won’t be anything special with these wheels) but it’ll be a different look for sure! You have any pictures of the side of your E63?

Wow , turned out very nice! Is your car lowered or is that stock height?

That 38 offset in the rear provides a great stance. The E63 wheels are 52 ET and inset more. Your wheels look fantastic

thank you sir! Yes I’m lowered on springs. They’re VOGTLAND springs and it’s lowered 1.6 inches front and back. I believe the front is a true 1.6 while the rear is more like 1.2-3 because it’s not as low as the front for some reason. Also these springs make the rear tires wear out a little bit more on the inside of the wheels for whatever reason.

Both your cars look pretty sweet.
I decided to go with an 18x8.5 square setup with the following offsets:
Front: ET40
Rear: ET34
For lowering, I'm going with the BRABUS springs which will yield a ~1" drop all around. I was looking to even out the stock rake but all available springs offer either an even drop all around, or more drop in the front than the rear. What I ended up doing is ordering the 5mm coil spring insulators for the rear (I have no idea what size insulators are installed right now but I'm hoping they're thicker than 5mm so I can get more drop, but I'll find out when the springs get pulled out). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem that different thickness insulators are offered for the front coils on the W212. Rear insulators arrive tomorrow and hopefully I'll get the springs installed in the next few days.

i think that set up all look sick, you have to post pictures when you get a chance. Where did you buy the insulators?

Will do as soon as I get the springs installed.
I ordered the insulators from a local independent shop, but they get them straight from the dealership. They're $7 a piece

Well, here it is on the Brabus springs. It turned out much milder than I thought it would. Rear dropped a full inch but the front barely went down 1/4" - it might need to settle more but I doubt it will be anything noteworthy.

I don't mind it - it evened out the rake quite a bit (which was one of my 2 main objectives) and while the ride is noticeably firmer, it remains very comfortable. I snapped this pic off really quickly and it makes the rear drop look exaggerated because it looks like I tilted the phone while taking it. I'll take better pics and start a thread about the project

I assume the front did not go lower because the Brabus engine will weigh a lot more than E350.
According to Google
2016 Mercedes-Benz E350 weight 3,825 lbs
W212 Brabus weight 4,365 lbs

My understanding from BRABUS is that they are designed for the weight of a standard W212. What I could not get an explanation for is whether they are compared to the standard comfort suspension or the sport suspension. Mine came with the sport suspension and the front coils have 2 green dots. As of now my car has settled some more and I now stand at 1/2" drop in front and 1" rear.

BIGGEST Tires that will fit on non-AMG W212

Hi
Old post resurrection (doing lots of that lately).
Exactly the same question.
Getting a fab set of W222 multi spoke 19's with the same tire size as above - 245/45-19 and 275/40-19.
Has anyone actually tried test fitting them on a W212 (non AMG)?
The tires are brand new P-Zero's and the wheels were removed when new for a set of BBS.
I really would like to have them, but very worried about tire size.
Have looked and looked but this post seems to be the only one mentioning the size.
It is a one time deal- you buy, you keep. No return possible. And yes, they are 800 miles away from me.

Hi.
I have tried that.
It doesn't look like "all that" much more than bone stock, yet, those who have tried say it does not fit...
Speedometer discrepancy is irrelevant to me.
Someone who has anything similar, your opinion will be Godsend! I really, really wouldn't want to lose out on the set.
