take a look at Konigstiger's reference post #3 all the way up for component listing. Audio is not a simple system.
Perhaps a tuner... definitely a module to get double checked for solderless pins and GND!

naming shapes
Thank you Konigstiger this is all really helpful.
Can we please have the naming of these numbered units? It's hard to distinguish module based on shapes alone (A sleeping #200 being the ultimate media silencer for COMAND)

Modules are VIN dependent meaning to say relevant market & equipment installed as you can see in the diagram I provided this particular vehicle only has two modules 200 & 120 (transmission CU) the rest are grayed out (not installed).

as an example,. here's all POSSIBLE control units on the passenger side, on a 'generic' post-facelift E350 4Matic wagon (212.288)
my fairly well equipped US model E350 4matic facelift wagon only has 480 (the USB ports in the center storage module), and module 80 (control unit for self leveling (rear airmatic))
