Brembo rotors and pads.

Be sure to bed them in from the start with some high speed and medium speed brake maneuvers

When I had my evo, we found out that stop tech pads and rotors are rebranded Brembo. They are also cheaper. They can be bought at advanced auto and the like.

As far as cost? 124.99 x2 for the rotors 54.99 for the pads 7.99 for the be quiet grease (could have avoid it had I known the pads come with a small tube of it), and $7.00 on the brake wear sensors.

Well I opened the second box getting ready to install the brakes and I get this.
Emailed BremboUSA and was asked for pictures. Sent them, and it's been over 48 with no response.

Thanks for the recommendation but Zimmerman's on E550's are bad. My car is a daily so I don't track it, and I get shakes all the time. They don't last 4k before starting to vibrate.
And the surface is fine, is the indentations on the surface that worries me. It is supposed to be porous for it to bite.

Well checked some sites and it seems the "damaged" part is on the anti corrosive and not on the disc material itself. I will take it to a race shop to see if the rotor is still balanced. I don't want any wobbling down the road.
I have ordered brake discs before and never have I seen this, so I was a bit confused.

That finish on the damaged Brembo rotors isn't right .
The Zimmerman in the vid look like Pagid with it's silver coating and it isn't robust , on a modern car with nice alloys , silver discs and silver lumpy bumpy cast calipers look vile as they detract from the glory of the wheels .
Even with Brembo's dark metallic coating I abrade and spray black smooth Hammerite for a never rust unswept areas .

I have no affiliation - but you can get these through autozone - for another 20% off - so you can save about 50-60 more dollars...and possible get free shipping too.
that is where i got my Brembo set from.
Good luck

Cant believe nobody has found a solution to this.
even though , there was a thread about it and there was a member that somehow found solid rotors without drilled out holes and he was happy with them. I wonder where hes got them and if they still dont vibrate.
Really hate to have it on a benz.
I tried multiple rotors .... but i gave up.lol

The Brembos are working good. The pedal feel is lot more linear than when the Zimmerman's were with Brembo semi metallic pads. Stop pretty good at high speed too (130+). I am waiting for the bed in coating to wear off to see how dust is.

Also I'm not sure high speed and medium speeds are the proper way to bed in new pads. You're supposed to drive moderately and I don't think high speed counts as moderate. High speed probably means high heat and if you have your foot on the brake with hot pads it's more likely to stick to the rotor giving you that warped feeling...
