I remain confused about the total price of $34,000+.
The car is listed at $29,888 as a CPO car, which means that asking price includes the initial one-year CPO warranty:
https://www.mbofnorthscottsdale.com/...hf9bbxea892396
You said you negotiated $2400 to $2900 off that price before getting into the issue of the two-year CPO warranty extension. So you seemed to be at about $27,000 for the car with a one-year CPO warranty. If you can get the two-year CPO extension from Jeff Jackson or someone else for about $1900, that means you should pay about $28,900 for the car with three years of CPO warranty -- before taxes, fees and shipping. Do those items add up to $5000+ to push the total price all the way to $34,000+???

it was listed as used without warranty. At least that’s how I understood since I found it on Autotrader where I was listed as used. Now after looking at this link, you have me wondering. I got quoted just over 2K from Jeff so I’ll wait for the itemized breakdown as I begin the paperwork process. I’ll post a full breakdown tomorrow or Tuesday.

Robxc80 - if you scroll down to Details and click on 'history', the Carfax comes up, which also lists the car as a CPO vehicle with unlimited mileage warranty. Plus you can download the Carfax (print it to a pdf file).

will do. I finished up all the paperwork and wired the funds to them this morning. Now waiting for them to finish the reconditioning and do one more full walk-around via FaceTime on some dings and nicks. Also have to ensure they did all the reconditioning that comes as a part of CPO. From there, I green light it and it gets transported to me from a neighboring state. I’m really hoping I have it by Friday/Saturday at the latest. Fingers crossed. I can’t wait.

besides a tiny and perhaps wrapping the sliver/chrome bits in black, i haven’t made a decision on whether to do anything else. I’ll drive it for a good bit so don’t plan to mess with the ECU. Reliability will be important for me and at 40 years old, my money is better saved for my family instead....
that said, I’m wondering what kind of exhaust I can put on this car without it sounding too loud and obnoxious. Nobody seems to have either the Renntech mufflers or the Meisterschaft exhausts. Most seem to do custom x pipe with mufflers like magnaflow. Any ideas here would be incredibly helpful.
also, thinking of getting some replica rims from the CLS63. thinking 19” would be best. No drop since I’d hate the curb the front or have issues with dips (which I have a lot of here).
here’s a pic of the rims. Let me know your thoughts.

When the rims have unique design, that look too much as black holes on the car for my taste.
Than lot of members have problem with 18" wheels, so you must be crazy thinking 19"

I had the resonator cut off and straight pipes put in its place on my 14’ E550. Zero drone whatsoever at any speed/rpm, and i was really surprised how throaty it is now. I don’t think I’d want it any louder. Sounds really beastly now, best $200 I’ve spent on it.

Age mileage wouldn’t bother me one bit and have come to not really value their warranty very much because they’re really solid vehicles.
At that age though, I’d ask for new motor and transmission mounts. They’re an age item over a mileage item.

Personally, I would not mess with anything that may jeopardize your CPO warranty, and that includes cutting out the resonators or even installing aftermarket exhaust systems. The TTV8 550 does not sound as good as the naturally aspirated 2010-2011 models, but it's good enough at WOT to be enjoyable. That's the problem with any Turbo car and it is difficult to improve the sound in a good way.

depends on whether I get new rims or not. If I get aftermarket rims, I’ll be holding onto the stock ones. If I get another OEM rim from Mercedes, I’ll sell them.
that said, I saw several sets for sale on Craigslist and eBay so should be easy to source.
