2016 E400 Air conditioning refuses to turn off
For some reason, I can not turn the A/C off by pressing the A/C button on the dash. It remains on no mater what, unless I turn the environmental controls completely off. (unrelated (?) The eco system never turns the engine off anymore) Vehicle is 1 month out of warranty with 42K miles. The last thing the dealer did was reprogram the car to reset the M-Brace account. I think it was called a GPS Epoch upgrade. Any one know what is causing this?

Back from the dealer. Literally 3 weeks out of warranty and they tell me the environmental control have failed and the panel needs replaced. $950 dollars to shut the air off. I think not! LOL.
Anyone know if I buy a replacement panel from a scrap yard if it's plug and play?
Tired of all these "it ha$ to be programmed $$$" stories every time anything needs to be changed.

While I'm not 100% positive I believe it is a simple plug and play. I had mine replaced a month or so ago and the SA had the old one in his hand, not much there.

jesus are people just accepting that these electronics are failing so soon? This isn't an Audi or BMW. Your hvac panel is not failing, they're screwing you.

The AUX battery is not the battery that causes the eco start/stop to stop shutting off the engine. This is caused by weak main battery. You need a new main battery.

I had the issue for two days - fan running crazy and I couldn't turn it off, I followed the ideas in that thread and it fixed it. Asked my SA on next visit, and he never heard of it.
