2014 E350 Spark Plugs
Doing my regular 100,000 mile Spark Plug change and I thought why not clean the intake plenum and swap out the intake plenum gaskets as well. While i'm doing this I can also clean out the throttle body and also the throttle body oil reservoir since it collects a lot of oil over the years and miles driven. I will also be cleaning out the Mass Air Flow sensors and the housing.
Has anyone recently done any of this work? Did anyone run into any issues, or better yet has anyone seen a better MPG or efficiency from their Benz by doing all this? Believe it or not I get roughly 1-2 MPG better when I clean and change everything out especially the throttle body and MAS.

I just changed the 2014 E350 spark plugs. I used a shoelace to pull the old one out. It was very sticky and hard to pull old spark plugs, specially I didn't remove the intake manifold. You must use the spark plug grease otherwise very sticky to put a boot into a spark plug. You could try to put the boot into spark plug from outside without grease, then you know how hard to put it in.

I have never put any grease or any sort of compounds on my spark plugs or ignition. I don't think it's needed.
I believe that the cost for doing spark plugs at an MB dealer is roughly 600-700 dollars. I would just buy the plugs them selves and do it if you're handy and know how to. I will link the OE original spark plugs below where I bought mine for really really cheap.
Spark plugs only:

if you plan on taking off the intake plenum, I would suggest cleaning out the intake plenum gaskets, cleaning out your throttle body, and doing the spark plugs. here is the kit for that (Also OE).

Everything you buy from FCP Euro also has a lifetime warranty. I use them for EVERYTHING! Good luck.

I guess it's up to someones personal preferences. My buddy who worked as a master tech at Mercedes in Germany said that he never put grease or compounds on plugs or wiring. He said to just replace and should be good.
I don't disagree with you, but my car now has 160,000 miles on it (I beat it up pretty bad too with speed high milage and sometimes racing (oops)). I have changed the plugs out 3 times now and never put on grease. To each their own I guess.

Have 73K on my 2012 and car still runs great
Have ordered Mercedes brand plugs but many websites say the newer plugs meet Mercedes OEM specs for indexing
AND are iridium-- so should be able to get a longer change interval than OEM platinum.

I've been using the Bosch Iridium plugs that come gapped for quite some time now.
