Tried like hell to get that 11 Friday night, but best I could do was 12.0 @ 115. IAT's were high and it was hot so I just kept going slower after that.
I'll be dropping her off for a full custom tune on Wednesday(I have CLS63 Fuel pump/level sensor in the car now). Hoping for close to 600hp to the wheels and at least 700 lb/ft of torque.
#2 on the list now, behind cocobeex(he has turbo upgrade): http://www.dragtimes.com/Mercedes-Be...ag-Racing.html

I'm coming for ya cocobeex!

no, that would be insane. This is my daily. Tune will be enough(for now...). next mod will probably be turbos after the tune, but I am in no hurry to do that.

You would only use it for the track. It will keep your intake temps down, lower detonation and clean your intake valves on the side facing the piston walls.

Meth is super corrosive and our cars use direct injection so no, it wouldn't help keep the intake valves clean as it would never spray fuel on them.

BTW, my IATs elevated because my intercooler pump sucks. It is being replaced with a larger pump.

Bigger or more efficient intercooler? Meth or O2 injection?

I've never run E85 but have considered it for my turbo vehicle. Are you going to be able to run both gasoline and E85 with your new tune? I've considered E85 but am told while E85 is cheaper than gas, E85 mpg will more than offset any $/gal savings.

The big advantage of E85 is the higher octane rating so less likely to self detonate, meaning you can run more boost and/or advanced timing without catastrophic engine failure.

Thanks Brother! But that 0.3 is gonna be tough to get at this point.

Tuner seems genuinely excited. Guess we'll find out!

This thread delivers! Hey nota_amg do you have pictures of your car maybe Instagram? Coco what do you mean you are onto another platform? you got rid of the E? I've been gone for a while and just got back but have been looking at 63's to purchase but this makes me rethink that...

I'm also nota_amg on the gram, but I don't post much...maybe that will change?

Also, it's not technically official as I don't have a time slip yet, but on the Dragy she ran an 11.63 @ 122.5mph with a 1.93 60' time. So, a TCU tune and some stickier tires and I might actually be able to run a 10 on a good DA day with a 1.6 or faster 60'. Sooo tempting...UGH!!!

I traded my E. It had 139K KM (83K Miles) . It was my daily, thats why mileage stacking up so fast. (40-60 miles a day)
Fuel cost me $400-600 a month.
The car started getting old. And a lot of little things were needing replacement. Then, bigger parts need to be replaced such as engine mounts. Cost gets very expensive.
Water Coolant reservoir broke. Turbo coolant pipe leaked, All 4 of my brake rotors are needing replacement.

Low Fuel Pressure code pops once a while, replace fuel pumps twice, the issue still there. Local indy were not able to find the issue. I was very frustrated.
Then, transmission started acting up a bit too, sometimes, it shifts super hard causing car jerking or it doesn't know what gear to shift to.

WIFE hated it. She knows i spent too much money on it. Fuel cost, Mods and repairs. LOL
I need to listen to my Queen, So, its time to let it go...unfortunately.

Well, pay to play!! tuned cars, at the certain mileage, problems will show up one by one. Very costly to fix them.
Sometimes, you can't even figure out what the problem is, thats the worst.

But, no regrets!!! Best Car i have own so far. The Style, The Sound, The Performance!!! I enjoyed it for almost 6 years!!!
Absolutely love it!!

I am onto EV now!!! its super funnnnnn!!!! That instant torque, the 0-60 is no joke!!! pretty much king of the drag race in city road.
I think only Super Car can compete with it.

Yep, i got M3P for now. Tesla took my E for a very good value. I was surprised they even took my car.
And this M3P is also a used car, been driven for 4K miles only with 10K discount.

The Queeeeen told me to pull the trigger. It took me 10 mins to sign the paper when i was in Tesla's show room.
My wife said why did it take so long for a simple signature. I told her, i have emotion to my E. LOL
Now, I Love it every single bit!! no more fuel cost. no more parts need to be replaced, not much maintenance. Save tons of $$ a year.
Wife is happy!! Happy wife happy life!!

After few month of driving EVs. its hard to go back to ICE again, and waiting for Roaster to come out in 2 yrs says Elon.

I did not mean running methanol or water thru the direct injection system, I meant using a port injector like this one. https://www.weistec.com/anti-surge-v...-m278-suv.html or this one https://www.vrpspeed.com/product/vrp...-kit-with-bov/ .

You guys never seen this?

Sorry, that may be a bit confusing the way I wrote it. Not "stock" but with "stock turbos". 😁

Ah! Yes I have. Been a while though. Used to use Snow Systems on turbo Mustangs. Those are neat, but I have other plans! 😉

now down to 11.3 @ 122.
MPH is pretty consistent, but I'm still getting quicker. Who knows...might be in the 10's by the end of the year!

my car would have that same low fuel pressure code. It was because I took out the internal air filter and put cone filters on the end. The map sensor couldn’t read the pressure correctly and it threw off the AF ratio. I put high flow internal filters in and it fixed the problem.

Don't think that is the issue, considering I'm on stock filters and air boxes...

I used some eBay brand $15 bucks each lol. I didn’t want to shell out the $175 for AFE. I did some research with that code and others who had it had aftermarket filters but didn’t tighten down the air box correctly so it wasn’t sealed. I came to the assumption that with an unsealed air box, or with an air box without an internal filter completely, the MAP sensor doesn’t read the air pressure correctly. So the engine doesn’t add the adequate amount of fuel, throwing the code, thinking that something is wrong with the fuel system. Again, everything I say is an assumption. But once I put internal filters in, it was fixed. And the others with the same problem, once they tightened down the air box, everything was good.

But did you have aftermarket filters when you ran across that code? Or perhaps you didn’t tighten down the box all the way?

I had P008A code.

This code popped few weeks after upgrading to AMG fuel pumps. (Driver side and Passenger side both)

Its very frustrating when this happened. Car runs funny when this code pops.
