Like the OP, I have a malfunctioning Command system. Right now, no Nav and system reboots every 3 minutes. Radio is out for about 10 seconds during reboot. My local Indi shop couldn’t figure out how to fix it. I took it to my local MB dealer and they said they had to replace the whole Command unit at a cost of over $6,000! My car is a 2012 E350.


I told my Service Rep that this is ridiculous- he agreed, but had no alternative to offer. Going to touch base with a couple of high end car stereo stores and see if they can help. Will also circle back to my indi repair shop and see what they say.

I’m planning on selling this car early next year (moving overseas), but am not sinking 6k into this car.

Careful with used, you'll need someone with tools/software (MB dealer will not) to release the theft protection from unit and pair it with your vehicle.
