W212 Wagon spare wheel location? Photos, please?
I am on a quest to see if I cannot modify my wagon—in a very “factory like” manner—so I can carry a spare, concealed under the cargo area floor. So, I thought I would ask one of you fine W212 Wagon owners, if you might not post a couple of photos of your spare, so I can see just where & how it was done on your car. Any help would be most appreciated, thanks!
In the picture above, you see both parts of the third row (backrests and seat bottom) are deployed. You would remove the seat bottom/trunk panel and that recessed area now in the trunk floor is a false bottom, which can be lifted and reveals a spare tire and subwoofer.

Left Coast Geek - thanks for the pictures, particularly the last picture on your post. This matches completely with my car. The question remains why the parts diagram shows the mounting screw as not greyed out.
Bottom line - I hear rattling noise from this area going over rough roads. The tools seem to be tightly tucked in their slots. Anyone hears rattling from this area? Any suggested solutions? I will try placing a thick sheet of foam on top of the tools to see if that addresses the rattle. I'll report the findings soon.

Anyone else noticed this on their w212 wagon?
There is no part# for the foam piece in the EPC. I'll try generic foam of varying thicknesses to see what works best. Let me know if someone has a suggestion on what would work best here.
