Multi contour seats

Multi contour seats
I'm looking at a car with an option code: 432 DYNAMICS SEAT,FRONT LEFT AND RIGHT. Is this the same as Multi Contour Seats that we commonly referred to as massaging seats? Also do these come with both heating and ventilation features? Finally, how are they in terms of comfort? Does any mechanical part poke out and hit you in the back or the **** when they are not "massaging?" I guess what I am asking is, are they supportive seats in the first place?

My car does not have them, but I did have a loaner 212 that had them and I found them to be great. It's not something I had to have, and hard to find used, but I would have liked them.

The dynamic seats are very comfortable. I have had multiple MB cars with them including my current E550 4M. Only the passenger seat has the active bolsters and massage. Both the driver and passenger seat come with heat and ventilation.
The ventilation function moves air through the fabric pin holes with small fan motors. It pulls air from the seatback area and forces it through the seat. The cooler your cabin is, the better your seat will help cool your back and ****. The cooling function is not great. The heat is superior and the bolster function and massage is also very good.

On my 2012 is backwards the drivers get everything (massage, active bolsters heat and cooling) and the passenger gets heating and cooling.
In Germany they both get all.

Not sure what I did there. It IS only the driver that gets the active bolster and massage, which makes sense.

Checked my car for VIN decoder and it said i should have both front seats like that. A little off topic
But yes these seats are nice.. but one of the bolsters (left) leaking air.
Otherwise pretty comfy and well optioned , heated and cooled love it.

The reason it says both its because in Germany the code for multi contour seats applies to both seats.

But, a big surprise for me was when I got my S550 with the said seats. In this car both front seats are Multi Contour and they are super comfortable. The difference is like night and day. Cannot compare E-class seat to these at all. Unbelievable difference.

Agree.. I don't have active seats, but I do have the real leather and seat ventilation.. not impressive. I thought it was OK until we picked up our Macan. The Macan's seat ventilation is far superior.

Great feature for sure! I was so excited when I got my E because it had ventilated seats like my CLK and CL. I found out however they do not work very good on the W212 for some reason. Not just mine but every w212 I have been in.

I have the same as you. Agreed. I love the leather but the ventilation is nothing special. For some reason the 212 doesn’t do that well. My CL and CLK do it fine. Maybe the design.
