Bang goes the airmatic....
Driving home from Vermont to NY and a very loud bang in the cabin. Thought that the tractor trailer next to me blew a tire but no, right rear airmatic strut burst. It was a long 50 miles to the ferry with a blown strut. Ordered a pair of new Arnotts for install next week...

On the E350 wagon, how many miles on car? On our's, w/ 116k, it started dropping one side overnight, turned out to be a chaffed air line (pinhole). I think the air springs are still original, but now we have a different issue with either side being too high or low after driving the car for a bit (not every trip).

2010 E550. Airmatic is the best suspension for these cars you can wish for. Of course, the air springs/struts will need to be replaced at some point like I did when car was just about 10 years old in use. If you are mechanically inclined the change of the parts is very easy to do so the cost is limited to parts cost of around $2800 for all four of them.
